If I'm not mistaken, Lakeville's current Head Coach, Herb Harvey is going to the new Lakeville South High School to coach.
It would make sense considering his daughter is going there.
The real question, is who is taking over the Lakeville NORTH (old high school) job?

Palmquist

Post by hockeywild711 »

I think some of you should be more respectful of what you say about a coach taking a new job when you have no idea that this is true. I like how people start piling on when they think he is leaving SSP. Maybe he is or maybe he isnt but either way it doesnt take away what he did at SSP. Why dont you call him and ask him yourself.

I agree.. Let it rest until it's official and at least he has been able to tell his girls/team. Then again many people picked up the idea that Thunstrom was leaving NSP for SSP and ran with that last year! Rumors... Thats all they are!!

Hockeyhead

Game Anyone????

Post by JJhockeySS »

Now that the season is over, and there is a long wait until next year anyone interested in guessing how many coaching jobs will open up this year? I think total job wise last year was a down year for openings. I'm glad to see that. I take that as that more coaches are staying in their positions, it seemed a few years back the turnover rate was very high. It is good to see good coaches sticking it out. If I recall I think 18 or so coaching openings last season. My prediction for this year is

16 that is current positions that come open, not new programs looking for a coach. Anyone else interested in a guess?

I don't know. Seemed like everybody enjoyed playing them. Looked like a rebuilding year or post "Lee" year by some of their scores.

Tartan is playing BOTH a JV and Varsity schedule this coming year. They will still play in the section tournament. (2AA I think) Don't know about the 'Falls job.
