Why isnt the southern part of minnesota given the same oppurtunites as the northern part? Such as the Northern MN allstar tournament.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... iller09 at: 3/2/06 8:03 pm

Why doesn't someone from the southern part of the state put something together? Don't whine.

miller09, though hockeydad put it more rudely than necessary, he is correct. Southern MN needs someone or ones to organize such endeavors as a S. MN all star event. Perhaps a coalition of coaches or whoever runs the Storm could get something together.

What are do you consider Southern Minnesota? South of the Metro, or South Metro included? Personally, I'd say South of the Metro, but that's just me.

2 hours in the dentist chair? Ouch. Hope they mixed in some nitrous oxide and Pink Floyd!

South of Lakeville (Farmington's right there too) would be good, but I wonder if New Prague considers themselves southern MN or southern metro. Venturing east, what about Red Wing?

I'd be fine with MSHSL players only. Where are the games played? Something centally located, Owatonna, Faribo or maybe Mankato.
I forgot Dodge County.

New ULm also has two rinks, and probably the nicest facility

New Ulm does have a great facility, but Owatonna is very easy to get to with interstate hwy access - especially if you want to include some of the southern Metro teams. The only teams that would not like the trip are from the far southwest. We have a lot of good teams on I-35 within 1 hour of Owatonna - just makes sense to me.
