Stay away from the Radisson City Center!!!!
In the last two years at state we had problems with this stupid hotel. Two years ago they screw up our reservations and after a half an hour of bitching to everyone who would listen, we got 1 room for 2 nights then they made us move accross the hall for the other 2 nights, talk about a pain in the ass, not too mention after the first night housekeeping stole 2 half empty bottles of booze from us while cleaning our room. Then this year we get booted from the hotel late saturday. Needless to say they just lost 1,500 dollars worth of business for next year. any suggestions on good places to stay anybody?

Holiday Inn is good, but the rooms are very small.

I hear ya!
I got stuck in the elevator last year in that dive. They didn't even have anyone there that knew what to do. I waited 2 hours for some guy in Southern MN to come! Needless to say I was a little late for the game. Now that's one eveyone can laugh at <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

city center
city center is awesome. Holiday in cracked down on the partying this year. Great party up in the penthouse. Definately best tourney experience yet.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... hs>hibbing superfan at: 3/7/05 4:03 pm

Holiday Inn is a dive too..unless your 21..i wasnt in our room when it got busted..but apparently it really wasnt overly loud at all...they need to understand where all this money comes from. GRANTED..the rooms will be filled regardless i think taht they need to be a little more leanient than usual. If a few kids come down and jsut wanna drink some beers in their room and keep it down..let it slide..you were there once too...

The Kelly Inn across the freeway is a cool place..Tons of kids..relatively cheap rates...free shuttle to the X..and an understanding that this is a little more hectic time of the year.

The other Raddison really cracked down this year too. Embassay was the party hotel for us East kids. Other places would be the Raddison CC, but if it screws things up then I guess not. But the Embassay is nice if you are willing to cough up a lot of money for 3 nights in a nice hotel.

Re: hotles
Basically, I'd say if you're going to drink, then stay out of downtown St. Paul (unless you're going to the games wasted of course). Better to get kicked out of your hotel with a minor than a DUI. We were visiting some fans from Central last year and drinking in a hotel in downtown. We were definitely not being loud, but management seems to always find a reason to check on high schoolers at the tournament.

Some friends stayed at a hotel somewhere by Snelling last year. It was a holiday inn I think? It looked like an old train depot. Things got out of control and nothing bad happened.
