Skip Bayless of ESPN doesn't deserve to write a column. He has the nerve to say that Oakland, Montana, and Fairleigh Dickenson don't deserve to be in the tournament. THEY WON THEIR CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT! GET OVER IT! Then, he ends his article by saying: "You just know I'm right: This tournament is sensationally flawed madness." Bayless is incredibly self-centered. Heres a link to the article if anyone else wants to waste a few minutes of their life.

sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=bayless/050314&num=0

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... oren808 at: 3/14/05 9:01 pm

Well should they be when teams like Notre Dame didnt get in?
________________________________________________________________

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right

Oakland, Montana, and FDU all earned the right to play in the tourney by doing what they had to do: win their conference championship. Notre Dame, while they would probably beat up on these teams, did not win their conference championship, and was not one of the top 34 teams that did not win their conference championship. It is kind of like teams like Little Falls, Wadena, etc. that while they probably would get slammed by Breck, Totino, or Blake, them winning their section means they deserve it as much as whoever comes out of that section. Schools like Oakland and Wadena, all they care about is getting invited, and when they do, they often are great stories. It is the small schools pulling upsets that makes the NCAA tournament great.

I agree, I just think that you should have the top 64 teams in the country play. Hell, I would rather lose in the first round of the 64 than win the NIT.
________________________________________________________________

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right

Deadline is early Thursday morning. We've got 15 or so already signed up...it'd be nice to get a few more.

Majin

The Quest for the Perfect Bracket...

Post by koren808 »

12 for 12 today in my picks so far. How cool would it be if I somehow went the whole tourney without having a wrong pick? It won't happen, but still an amazing start. Good luck catching me!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Pretty impressive, I can never pick upsets, I suck at this.
________________________________________________________________

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right

As quickly as it started, its over. West Virginia beats Creighton, so I went 15 for 16. Still a good day, though.

I would have had 29 if I would have stayed with my first picks, I edited them into a 26.

_________________

BOB
