Lefty wins major #2

Post by packerboy »

Mickelson won the weather delayed PGA with a birdie on 18.

I watched quite a bit of it on Sunday and was amazed at the number of really bad shots that were hit. I am an 11 handicapper and I would have been embarased by a lot of those.

I realize that the course is extremely difficult and much harder than I would ever play but a duck hook is a duck hook.

These guys really struggle on Sunday which is why Tiger will win another 10 majors easily.

Nicklaus used to have to beat guys like Palmer, Trevino, Player etc. Guys who had as much savvy as he did and winners of multiple majors themselves.

Tiger is a great , great player and proably the best ever. But his competition is rubber legged.

Its amazing to think that Tiger almost didn't make the cut, yet still came close to "winning" the tournament. I agree that he is a very good player, but the only guy that seems to beat him is himself.

Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

I agree and I wonder why that is.

You would think that with the proliferation of golf there would be half a dozen guys who would reguarly test Tiger in the majors the way the guys like the ones I mentioned and Tom Watson used to test and defeat Nicklaus.

Jack had 19 2nd place finishes. I bet over half of them were to guys like Watson , Trevino etc.
