I agreed last year with slappys belief that Moorhead was in line to finally take home the championship in '04. But the Train is still ready to board, either get off the tracks or join the rest in the loss column, because it wont stop until March 5th when the horn sounds in the Excel centers final game of the '04-'05 season. Slappy, Blues where are you?

Everybody mark your calendars. January 15: Warroad vs Moorhead @ Moorhead. Perhaps this years true State Championship match. Glad to see this horse back on its feet again!

If you are planning on attending any of the Moorheads home games like East, WBL, Warroad, Centennial, or Jefferson games you might want to get there early like a good hour to hour and a half before the drop of the puck. Moorhead has been averaging 2,500 to their home games. I think that the Sport Centers capacity is around 3,000. The JV games are fun to watch too. Just in case you are coming from outside of the F-M area.

This thread has been so much fun and I hope it is a self-fullfilling prophecy.My sincere hope is Warroad vs Sect 5 winner with the Warriors in running time 10-0 for class A and the Spuds vs AHA in running time 11-0 for class AA. The 1/15/05 game in Spudtown Warriors 1-0 in OT. Please Santa I have been good!

You guys should not have ressurected this thread as it was the "kiss of death" in 2003-2004 season when section 8 came to the Excel. Now that it is alive I know where to place my bets, the string will continue. I wish the best for section 8 if the boys from section 7 cannot get it done.

YEA BUDDY, welcome back Slappy, long time no see. what I am about to say is NOT a prediction, i would just like it to happen. Remember the 96 state tournament? i do belive the final score in the Class A championship game was something along the tune of 10-3. how bout someone beat that this year?

Its just like Mike Tice said " This aint last year". No, this year is different. No bumps on the track. There is no reason to hide the women and children when Centenniel takes the ice, even tought they are good. The Catholics are always superior ,as was proven in a previous thread ,but they may have had an off year recruiting (especially comapred to section 8s) and they are all rich and soft from daddy's money. So, wo is going to drail the train? As always , it kinda reminds me off a little tune that goes like this: Get on board, join in , join the the love train, love train........

Hey slappy you gotta know that Coach M is stoppin at 8 all year because 8 dominates. I call it the Monticello rule, no more than 8 and let east get 2. WORD is that this team should play the USHL all-stars at the BIG Ralph this year for the championship. No matter what happens, Dave Morinville is a great coach and I hope that Moorhead shows some class and treats him right (no matter what happens [2]). Then we will see...can'tcha see?

I don't know about this thread but Moorheads winning streak just might. I mean everywhere you go around this state the Buzz is about the artistry of the Moorhead ' Spuds '. The 'Spuds' are serious as a heart attack this go around and havin' a good time is a priority and of course having a good time to them starts with winning and all the rest best put in some extra time in the weight room because as I stated elsewhere "conditioning" will be the main factor in anybody's chances at delivering defeat to these ' Spuds ' ! These boys can fly just as they swarm all over anybody that's handling THEIR puck! They proved it again by wearing 'Barnyard' <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> down to a whimper and you're going to have to play like a team on fire or be as cunning as crocodiles to get these 'Spuds' off their game for any meaningful period of time! Slappy, your right, I'd like to see the team that can beat the studs. They move the puck better than any High School team I've ever seen. Keeping the game from running time is a small consolation. I was looking to see if you were at the game, but didn't stick around to long afterword. We'll look you up down at Xcel in March. Keep the train rollin' kranky
