Bookhout -- You seem like a pretty fair guy. I never saw the racist comment that you mention. I took Slapshooter's comment at face value ... that there was a depiction of one of the 8 Wonders of the World on the BJ goalie's headgear. Was he actually referring to the goalie's lineage or was he referring to the mask? I only want to know because one is a big foul, the other not so big.

Mr. Shooter - You just don't get it, that's all. The thread was locked because you called a kid out in a highly questionable manner, not because you told us what happened in the game. Whether your having called out a kid for his play in a particular game was malicous or not, that was the reason for the thread being locked, just tighten your belt and live with it. Now you're complaining about people slamming your team?!?!? Have you read any of your posts?!?!? What a joke, do you actually have to work hard at being so incredibly hypocritical? It was at one point just good natured, I thought, but you seemingly take it too seriously. You can dish it out, but wow, you can't take it (even when your team wins!!!). I don't know what was in your heart when you wrote that slam on the Jag goalie. You're probably a nice person in many ways. Consider two things: 1. You may want to think a little more about what you write in the heat of the moment, its a fault we all share, including myself. Some people can admit it, you apparently just cannot. 2. The FACT that you claim your "comment" was innocent, but then turn right around and deny that it was the OBVIOUS reason for the thread being locked is perhaps more indicative of what was in your heart when you made that "comment," than your current spin. Me thinks you doth protest too much. Regardless of your intent with that "comment," why don't you just get off the denial trip? I gather from some of the things that you've written, such as your dig at John Kerry (with which I agree) that you're not a fan of liberal politicians. Why then do you act so much like Ted Kennedy?

But does Lee scold him for making claims like that? No way. The people who claim to be the only jackass get all the breaks. They dont care about whose feelings they hurt. I mean, think if Ted Kennedy found out.

Sure, Kennedy is Catholic and all but he doesnt play hockey so the fact of Catholic Superiority doesnt change. I think every one still agrees with that. I know Lee does. The Jag game is in the books. Is HM the only challenge left for da Spuds? Are you comin down for that one? The train keeps on rollin. Not much left until sections. The Big Show is only a month off. Toned and honed is what the crazy 8 boys will be. Section 5A is still good but Breck isnt as strong as last year. Warroad could walk thru. Da Spuds have beat everybody that needs to be beat, Bearly. It looks good. Last year it was a possibility. This year it should be expected. It should be a fact, indeed ,a fact of modern life.

I dont agree Neutron 14. Breck and Centennial were pretty tough customers last year. The Warriors could not even get to Breck( if I remember right) People gave da Spuds a chance but really, Centennial was a better squad. I was at the championship game and I know the score was only 1-0 but I never got the feeling that Moorhead was going to win. This year is different. In fact this year changes everything. I am not going to pretend to be an expert on the history of Moorhead hockey but have they really ever had the best team coming in? Have they ever been the favorite? Good teams for sure but clearly the best? Last year is a perfect example. Very good team but not the best. This year is different.
