Frozen Four

Boston College 3
North Dakota 0

End of first period

Sounds like North Dakota has outplayed BC, but Parise has given up 3 goals on 4 shots. I'm a Gopher fan but I'd like to see the WCHA team win.

Down 3-1, I thought the Snakes had a chance and gained some momentum when they scored to make it 3-2... A couple of penalties and some costly turnovers (Cherry I think ) and suddenly the Snakes are down by three again after two periods. Nice to see them come back and almost tie it up! Such a young team... Hopefully most will stay around for another year...

Badgers-BC

Post by ChrisK »

Wisconsin beats Maine, so the final will feature Wisconsin and Boston College. So I find myself cheering for two of the Gophers biggest rivals two games in a row but I'd rather see the Badgers win tomorrow. I can't see the Badgers being as sloppy on D as the Sioux apparently were yesterday so they should be the favorite.

Was Brian Lee one of the Sioux D that had a bad day?

I was just listening to the radio via the net, it was the feed from Boston radio but the announcers weren't strong homers. It sounded like BC took some bad penalties too, but it just goes to show how important good goaltending is.

Lee played pretty well. He had a solid defensive day and he had a goal and an assist. The D didn't play too bad its just that Boston capitalized on everyone of there mistakes.

"Some nice rocket wristers by BC that resulted in two of the fist three goals at least."

I think the second goal was on a shorthanded breakaway, and the third was just a bad bounce off a Sioux defenseman's stick(I think Finley)that was one the ice.

The short handed breakaway goal and the goal where Smaby fell at the blueline were nice, but all in all a lot of the goals should have been saved. There were at least two soft goals, and a couple that you would like to see your goalie bail you out on. In the first period BC scored three goals on five shots, granted one was on a breakaway, but still it was poor play in the net.

Oshie did look very good as usual, but unusual for him he couldn't finish. He created some nice chances, but ended up with no points.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeygod at: 4/7/06 4:19 pm
