I'm going to the game in Seattle for sure. Will be my first road game, but now Seattle is the closest NFL stadium to me. Might go to San Fran as well.

Favre

Post by boblee »

All I'm saying is he announced he will play again next year. The Pack have some very good recievers in Ferguson, Driver, Murphy, and Walker (who looks to be headed elsewhere). I look for the Pack to draft a wide reciever in the second round as well. The Pack had the #1 pass defense last year in the NFL. That will only improve with the addition of Charles Woodson. Their overall defense was #7 in the NFL and will only improve with their new additions. The biggest one will be named tomorrow in A.J. Hawk. I think the Packers will be better than the Vikings. How do people feel about the Vikings new uniforms, by the way?
Grand Rapids-2006 State Runner Up

I'm indifferent about the Vikings new uniforms, anyways, they'll always look good kicking Green Bay.

Sorry boblee, I disagree. Farve will blow next year. He needs to move on. He takes way too many low % chances trying to make something happen... HENCE interceptions!!! They need new blood in there.

Just my opinion

You may be right. But the longer Farve sticks around, the longer it will take to rebuild AND the more difficult it will become. It's not like Farve is gonna get em to the SB again. He was a awesome QB but his time is done. I think he should move on now so GB can once again become a SB contender

Brett is only staying for one more year. If the Pack can stay healthy there is reason to believe they will contend. Favre has still got it. Green is still a great back. They have a good core of wide recievers. They have a great defense. If they can just stay healthy and consistent, they may be able to win some games and sneak into the playoffs. Don't write them off until atleast week 8.
Grand Rapids-2006 State Runner Up

Hope you're right though, I'd be fun to see GB back on top of their game.

What's the over/under on Favre's INT's this year? 45? The defensive numbers are a little deceiving. They turned the ball over so much that the defense had a short field and couldn't give up all the yards. The Packers have anything but a premier defense. Ahmad Carroll gets flagged for P.I every other play.

Woodson has a terrible attitude, and has never lived up to the hype. I can't see him making a real difference. Walker is gone, which is the biggest blow to this team.

I got all the respect in the world for ya Boblee, but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this. I can't see the Pack winning more than 5 games, the Vikes will be much better.

Also, I like the new unis. They are flashy but not too flashy. Old school too with purple pants and black shoes.

Brett coming back? He must want a few more last looks at the roof of the metrodome from his back. Who is he going to throw too and who will block for him? Pack win 3-5 games this year with or without Favre.
