Budish, Gaarder, and Everson are so Dominant
I saw these three play and they are easily the most dominant players at the Bantam A level.

Re: Budish, Gaarder, and Everson are so Dominant
I am so sick of hearing about how good these Edina players are. Stop self promoting your players. If they are THAT good then you shouldnt need to be talking for them other people will just realize that themselves. so what do you say we just quit all the talk about how good these guys are and let them prove it to us.

Re: Everson Buddish and Gaarder
Lets see, first of all, Dirt isn't from Edina, so he obviously isn't self promoting his players. Second, I think they already proved it last night by lighting up shattuck with 6 goals. is that good enough for you?

Everson. Best skater, best hands, and most accurate shot. He is by far the best overall player out of the three. Tremendous Skills.

Oh and by the way, I'm not from Edina.

I think the best player is probally gaarder. Everson will take too many dumb penalties and Budish doesnt have the wheels.

Re: Everson Buddish Gaarder
First..to answer your question, Everson is the best player out of the three, he is pretty much the complete package, Gaarder is the second best player out of this group with Buddish third because of the fact that he is the slowest out of these three guys.

Second, can we PLEASE stop talking about Edina and Edina players. I'm sick of it! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

luckiest man alive
I love the talk about buddish, gaarder, and everson.. never gets old (sarcasm)...

Like i've said before i'd say gaarder is the best of the three, everson next, and buddish last.. which brings me to my point of emphasis.

BUDDISH IS THE LUCKIEST KID IN BANTAM HOCKEY!!!

Why you ask.. He skates on a line with gaarder and everson and they make him look like he can play.. put him on an average team with average linemates and he'd be out their looking like a living cupcake, takes him 45 minutes to skate blue line to blue line, absolute no speed or skills, and the kid is a hack... how many stupid penalties can 1 player take in a year? kicking that kid or watever is a perfect example, i mean i guess i'd be frustrated and take dumb penalties all the time too if i was slug.

like i'v said before.. the most overrated player i've seen play...

but i'd take gaarder or everson over all most any bantam other than fink and krey.

Re: luckiest man alive
Let me tell you.. budish is no living cupcake. Everyone says hes slow, but hes really not. hes got very deceptive speed that defenders don't notice until hes past them. he makes great passes to set up everson and gaarder too.

Re: luckiest man alive
Ok, I appreciate that you are defending your teammate, but, he does not have deceptive speed. He is a very good hockey player, and you are right he is a very good passer, but he is still the third best in that group. I would say he passes as well as the other two, but they both shoot better than he does (more accurate). I myself think everson is the best, but certainly you could make a case for gaarder having that title.

I think Buddish on an average team elevates that team a bit, but the other two guys elevates that team a ton. It's not a knock on the kid because he is good, just not as good as the other two. I bet if you asked the kid he would agree. Everson does take penalty's but I think that is just an extension of his competitiveness. He (Everson) no doubt has more of that than the other two.

Re: luckiest man alive
yes, everson is very competitive, which is a good thing. And I would agree that Budish is probably the third best of that group, but that group is also an incredibly talented group of hockey players. My point was that Budish is no average player like ERDynasty says he is, he would be a good player, even without gaarder and everson. They elevate his game, but he also elevates theirs.

the trio
out of those three id have to say buddish is the best becuase he is pretty fast not the fastest and he is smarter then the other two he knows how to play the game. everson and gaarder just chase the puck around the ice.

budish
budish is deinitaly the 3rd best on that line. hespy lets be honest, I'm not nearly as fast as the other 2 but I wouldn't say a cupcake. everson and gaarder are very even and you could argue either one to be the best. I love how people say they're sick of edina topics when people from edina haven't started ANY of them but whatever, talk all the trash you want.

Re: budish
Lets not get out of per perportion with this guys. Everson is one of the better players on the state, but to say the nation, thats overkill. Hopefully you were just saying that to give the fact that hes one of the better players in the state some more effect,

Re: budish
Even Gaarder, its way to much of an overstatment to say he is probably the best player in the nation, that pretty much means that he is the best player out of over 500,000 people....... ( i have no clue how many people it is but im sure it is much more than that) even that many people would make it hard to believe that Gaarder is the best. I know someone has to be the best in the end i guess, but before you make assumptions about him being the best of the best in the US, just consider the fact that it is very unlikey, still a very good player though.

Gaarder, Budish, Everson
Im not sure that was an overstatement made by slapshot69, I have yet to see any 91's dominate Shattuck as easily as Gaarder and Budish and Shattuck has played most of the best 91's in the country. All im sayin is Budish and Gaarders line has put up 12 points in 2 games against Shattuck. What ever cupcakes Budish is eating, i need to get some. Gaarder and Budish are easily among the best 91 players in the nation.

Re: Gaarder, Budish, Everson
I don't necessarily think it is an overstatement. Don't lose sight of how good MN hockey is in comparison to the rest of the US. Elite team's are put together all through the US that can't compete with some of MN's best. Shattuck is a great example. They are one of if not the best Tier 1 club's in the nation. What have MN association team's done with them this year? This is by no mean's a knock on SSM, just a boost for MN association hockey that USA Hockey consider's Tier 2. Other lesser program's that still consider themselves "Elite Team's" come to our tourney's and get beat by some of our smaller association's, most not even considered top 20 team's. My point being is that if you are one of the best in MN there is a good chance you are one of the best in the nation.

Re: Gaarder, Budish, Everson
Good point j-dog minnesota hockey is top in the nation no doubt. And Gaarder is a very good player, same is true for everson. But Gaarder is not the best in the state. Whether were talking 90's or bantams is a huge difference because if its on a scale of 90's gaarder and everson drop much lower on the list. but if it is bantams they are among the best.

Sorry Josh Shattuck is not the number #1 tier 1 team in the country. Maybe somewhere in the top 10-15 this year. They have not recruited this year like in the past.
