Centennial and Champlin Park A PW Eliminated

That shows that the LPH rankings don't mean a thing in the playoffs.

It's hard for a team to beat a league rival for a third time especially when on the oppenents home rink. I'm not too surprised by St Cloud's win (2-0). They play very sound D. I was more surprised by Elk River's 5-4 win over Champlin Park since Elk River has had trouble scoring all year long and Champlin plays good D and has a good goalie.

Blaine vs St Cloud Black in Championship
St Cloud Red vs Elk River (winner to play loser of Championship)

St. Cloud Red and Black

The St. Cloud clubs are both very solid clubs and credit to the association for having the long term interest of developing the youth at the A level. Fully expect one of the two to make it to regions out of District 10.

Champlin does have a pretty good goalie, but he was over confident and cocky, as usual, last night. Elk River's goalie was the better goalie last night, and he is half the champlins goalies size. 2 of the 4 goals scored by champlin were knocked in by Elk River Players.

Elk River has beaten St. Cloud Red this year 3-2 and lost to them 3-1, so anything can happen.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... nsledge at: 2/24/06 1:47 pm
