Re: Eden Prairie Peewee A
Probably don't want to get beat 10-0 again, they would rather beat up on the lower level teams in d8.

Did Eden Prairie win D6? If not, will they, or who will?

Strange EGOHPERP, you had the EP score fairly quick, for a kid from Egan.

The PWA team looks like the real deal and I would expect to see them reach the state.

I can imagine that Lacombe and Hendi (Bantam A coaches) are looking forward to some of these guys moving up next year.

You are a fun team to watch! Great puck movement for a peewee team. Wish your web site would post your games and times. I was told most or all players play summer AAA? Anyone know more?

EP AAA
I saw that a few played for the '92 Jr Mavericks last summer. I think one was on the '92 Icemen. Not sure about the '93 kids.

Re: EP AAA
most were on the jr. stampede

Some people say Ep plays all lines equally and I have to disagree. I have only seen a few games (all were against good teams. Littleton, Edina twice). To someone who doesn't watch very closely it would seem they play evenly but if you watch closely they don't. At the end of a tight game they play their first line 2/3 shifts. Even if it's not toward the end of a game the first line gets a few more shifts a game. At the end of a period with a minture or less to go they put out their first line and put them out at the start of the next period. Maybe they make this unequality up when they play teams that are not as good, I'm not sure. The goalie situation is about as unequal as it gets. Ford plays all games. Beaton apparently plays as often has Dwanye Roloson. Wouldn't it be a bummer to pay all that money to play hockey but ending up with a rink side seat every game?

Pretty hard to have that kind of scouting report after only watching them play 3 times all year! Thanks for taking the time for that well thought out paragraph of very incorrect information. I am guessing you are from there neighbor suburb of Edina. I feel your jealousy! I wish also we could field a team like that!

Maybe I am wrong... but are you saying that Beaton plays much??? I hear through the gravevine he has seen limited action. Didn't he play one period in the Edina tourny??? Maybe that is equal ice time, but I sure don't see it that way. Maybe other people and I feel differently about playing time. Maybe the only 3 games I have seen were the only three games the shifts were unfair.

No doubt the team is very skilled. All three 3 lines are good. By the way, I, fortunatly, am not a cake eater.

Is that the 4th or 5th tourny EP has won??? Very impressive. No doubt this team should win state.

EGOPHERP, WBL is a north of Minneapolis, not anywhere near Duluth.
I was always wondering what gig is up for me?? What other teams did Eden Prairie beat to get in the "Championship" of the WBL Tourney. What goalie was in net for those games???

In response to equal playing time, I would like know how many people responding have actually watched the PeeWee A teams that are highly ranked. I have at several tournaments so far and of all the teams that are getting hit about equal playing time, Eden Prairie is one team that actually does play equal. Let's talk about some other teams. Now I have never actually used a stop watch on any of these other teams, but when talking about equal time, go watch:
Blaine- They are renaming them as the Blaine Bjukstad's.
Edina- Sit, Sampson, Walker
Lakeville South - AJ Reed line. (there's a reason he scores 3 goals and an assist in one period)
Wayzata-very noticable in 3rd periods
Mahtomedhi-top line (actually a one man show)
Roseau-top line.
Of all the teams listed, EP is the only one that uses 3 equal lines, and good luck to teams that try to beat them using anything less than 3 lines as that team is deep. I can't comment on the goalie situation as I did not pay any attention to that. I really don't think it matters who they put in nets. I think my mother would get a win behind that squad. The only good thing for other peewee A teams is that the state tournament is single elimination, and anything can happen in one game.

I slashed and now I must dash!

Re: EP PWA
Saw most of the tournament. Some of the best peewee hockey I've ever seen. It ought to be a good finish if these teams make it through to the state.
