Centennial Will Win Bantam A State Tournament

Post by pucklover7 »

With all the talk about Edina winning the tourney and new comers to the top rankings this year in Orono and Maple Grove, Centennial has been awefully quiet this year for a team that has dominated all year long. You never see posts on here from their players, and no one ever talks about them.

Well its time to start. In my opinion, this team is so sound, and deep and goaltending is so good, I don't think there is any question this team will not only contend for the title, but my prediction is they win it.

I am gonna say there will be a rematch of last years state title game in which (IMO) Edina upset a very very good Centennial team that probably should have won the whole thing. Centennial gave up one goal that whole tournament and couldn't win. Well this year, they still have that outstanding goaltending, but that also have a great ability to put points on the board.

With all that said they are my pick to reverse the upset of last year and beat Edina for the title.

I have not seen Centenial play, but I know of only 5 players on that team that are good: Stutz, Schriener, Hess, Pitlick, Lapick?. Those are the only ones that I have seen play in summer leauge, ext. They are a very good team, but I would like to see a Centenial vs Maple Grove game. I believe they play them in cross district? The winner of that game will have there shot to play Edina in my mind.

They are not on here looking for recognition like all the Edina kids. I definately think they have the a good chance of winning the tourney along with Orono, DE, and of course Edina. I just think that right now if they played each other Cenntennial would win. Edina's egoes are growing far too big after a long season IMO it will catch up to them in the playoffs.

I really don't know what you're talking about... "looking for recognition like all the Edina kids." I don't know if you realized this, but its mainly non-edina people that start lots of talk about Edina- for example "Who will beat Edina?" "Edina loses to Blaine!?" Edina's not out there looking for recognition. Everyone else does it for them. And i'm not sure about Edina's egos either, considering they just lost to Blaine. But as for Centennial, I do think they are a very underrated team that doesn't get very much attention and has potential to do some damage come playoffs.

All I know is tonight's score was WBL 6, Centennial 3. Centennial goaltending certainly did not live up to the intial post's billing.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... 30>db30 at: 2/1/06 10:37 pm

I'm positive that if yo saw where everyone was from on an Edina topic like WHO WILL BEAT EDINA you would see that most of the kids posting on it are from Edina.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ockey22 at: 2/2/06 5:21 pm

There are no more then 5 edina players on here. I am one of them and i know for a fact i have never talked about how good we are or looked for recognition. centennial is very good though. I don't see how they lost to WBL so bad becuase they've played like 6 times now this year with all one goal games until this one. How many games has Centennial played? I looked at their website and they've gotta be close to 65 games with atleast 10-15 left.

I couldnt tell you how many games they have played. Im sure its around 65 though. they have played a lot. the whole month of january looked like not very many tough games for them except blaine. they might not have been ready for the pace of a faster team like WBL after playing teams like St. Cloud and St. Francis and Coon Rapids. but once again can anyone fill me in on what happened with the game last night?

Holy PLEASE BAN ME Mushrooms. 51-8-3 with something like 8 more games before districts, regions, state and vfw. They're gonna be over 80 games. Incredible.

A while a go grizisastud admitted he was budish. He also said
Quote:
i have never talked about how good we are or looked for recognition.

but a quick look on the search and i found this said by budie himself

Quote:
3 biggest danglers around. A loss is still a loss, no matter how bad you outshoot your opponent.

Centennial responds to 5-1 whopping from WBL to beat Blaine 9-3 last night. After looking at their last few weeks of scores, they look very inconsistant. I think most bantam teams, actually all bantam teams are very inconsistant though. A bunch of 14 year old kids playing hockey pretty much everyday, you can't expect them to be at the top of their game every day. It's not possible.
