Predictions for State tournament pairings Bantam A
Hopkins vs. Duluth East

Edina vs. Buffalo

White Bear Lake vs. Roseau

Eden Praire vs. Moorhead.....

That may friends is a classic state tournament!!!

Re: Predictions for State tournament pairings Bantam A
No it really isn't, considering centennial, one of the top 3 teams in the state wouldn't be there. Also, Edina, Hopkins and White Bear are in the same bracket for regions so they couldn't all make it to state.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... espy019 at: 2/27/06 7:17 am

Re: Predictions for State tournament pairings Bantam A
Edina, Hopkins and WBL are not all in the same region...Maroon red has the D6 champ which is Edina the D2 champ which is White Bear Lake, and the D3 Champ and third place which is Orono, and Osseo respectively... Hopkins #3 out of D3 plays in the Maroon blue region....

And someone is not coming out of the region whether it is Edina, White Bear Lake, or Centennial... I picked WBL and Edina...Why don't you pick Centennial and whomever you want. That is the beauty of making a prediction. Thats probably why your parents are going to send you to private school, so you can learn about those things...

The Red Region is basically the State tourney. Add Eden Prairie to Red and you have the top 6 teams in the state playing in 1 regional tournament. I would guess that there will be some big surprises unfolding in the Maroon Region. And, Blue is very weak. Hopkins and EP should advance.

Re: Predictions for State tournament pairings Bantam A
5 of the State's top teams in one region...that's too bad..maybe if some of them would have taken care of business in their District tourney this would not have happened. Congrats to the teams that pulled the upsets. That is the beauty of this tourney. If we wanted a true state tourney..I guess we could have let LPH pick the teams rather than play the District tourney. Holy Angels would be in the HS State tourney also if that's the case, but I guess you have to win when it counts.

This has nothing to do with LPH rankings....Let's see:

White Bear Lake
Centennial
Edina
Orono
Jefferson (most likely)
Osseo
Eagan
SLP/SW

Red:

Blaine
Forest Lake
Richfield
Rosemont
Eden Prairie
Champlain Park
Rochester North
Hopkins

Bantam A Regions
On top of Edina,White Bear Lake and Centennial you have Orono, I'm going to go ahead and say Jefferson will win their play in game,Osseo,Eagan and a very average St. Louis Park. As someone said before, this is basically the state tourney minus the last 2 teams. Don't count out Osseo, who has played tight with Edina(3-0 loss),Jefferson who has tied Edina(1-1 tie),or Orono who has beat White Bear Lake(2-1 win). Without Eden Prairie; Edina,White Bear Lake,Centennial,Orono,Jefferson all basically fall in the top 6 teams in the state.

The blue region is a joke. Hopkins,Eden Prairie, Rochester North and maybe even Blaine have to be the favorites which is kind of sad. With Rosemount,Forest Lake,Champlin Park and Richfield fighting for a spot.

Re: Bantam A Regions
Too bad for alot of these teams as only two can advance to state. Might have been different if teams would have taken care of business in Districts. Betcha MNLIGHT39 wishes they would have finished second.

Re: Bantam A Regions
I will say Rochester North will come out of the other Maroon Region. Edina will take theirs.

With Centennial, White Bear and Osseo working things out for a spot.

Hopkins will come through the backdoor also.

Re: Bantam A Regions
Haha, yah well...you can't go out there and tell the boy's to lose a game on purpose now can you? And,pucknutz, I don't think Osseo will go to state, but they very well could, they have been pretty hot. But, that's just my opinion. Although, their heads have to be in the gutter after their last 2 games. That's too bad for team that has been soo hot the last few weeks.

Re: Bantam A Regions
i know why dont we just vote on the top 8 cidiot teams and not even play a state tourney because we all know thats the only place people know how to play hockey in this state. every year thats all you ever hear is how the state tourney is always played in regions here well cry me a river.. that region dont win state every year so why do you keep thinking that year after year after year after year its soooooo stupid!!!!!!
