Wayzata Bantam A

Post by bossman »

It seems Wayzata is playing well at the right time of the year. Several close games with top teams, Orono, Hopkins and Maple Grove all one goal losses. Tie one and lose one (1-0) against Osseo. They tie Moorhead, beat Brooklyn Park and most recently beat Mankato 4-3. Earlier games against Hopkins and Maple Grove were 2 or 3 goal differences.

The district tournament should be interesting.

Wayzeta has a very good club, starting to come together. They have one defensemen that is a stud, Matt Strade. He is good. District 3 is going to be a very very interesting tournement

Wayzata is beginning to play the way that they should've been playing all season. During the first half of the season they were kind of a shock that they were playing poorly. Now, they are turning it around and are playing some pretty solid hockey going into district playoffs. District 3 is the district to be watching during districts. It should be a VERY interesting tournament.

just like anyother team wayzata has their days and some days they dont. we beat them in their own barn because we played the game smarter than they did. but then they beat us in our barn so i think they have some skill but they arent the best team in the metro.
