Edina/Chaska is not a HUGE rivalry. They don't even play each other in high school. There are a lot bigger then Edina/Chaska.

Mankato and Faribault is a good rivalary. No matter which team is better they always play each other tuff, and, make it a good game.

Rivalries

Post by Daddypants66 »

In order for it to actually be a good/big rivalry the teams have to be good ones. AL and New Prague is not a good rivalry because the teams are not good. A good rivalry is the Chaska/Edina rivalry or the Maple Grove/Osseo rivalries. Games that kids from other teams will go to to watch because it is a good game.

The question was...

Quote:
im interested to see what people think are some good rivalries

I agree with ALDude, the Austin vs. AL rivalry is a good one. Those two cities HATE each other. Whether you think either team is "good" is completely irrelevant.

Quote:
Games that kids from other teams will go to to watch because it is a good game.

This statement has nothing to do with what makes a RIVALRY good. The best and biggest rivalry is WARROAD and ROSEAU. From PeeWees, Bantams, and High School it is a huge game.

osseo-mg rivaly

This has to be one of the biggest rivalrys in the state, if not the biggest. 9th grade kids come decked out in there schools colors, do chants(and scream), plus the arenas are always PACKED for Bantam A games. Anyone at the Playoff game knows what I mean.
