I would just think Duluth East, (being a "superpower" and all) would just say "hey lets show them" and beat the team from 2 and 10. Moorhead will have to play them too, you don't see them on here whinning about it. They have been every bit as good as Duluth East has been, if not better. In fact better, they have won a bantam state title. Let it die man, the best teams will be represented at the state tournament one way or another. Look at this years top 8, are all 8 gonna make it? No!!! Because the tournament is also represented by the north! <p></p><i></i>

My point is not to whine. But discussion. In your response <br>1) If you think the north should be represented in the state tourney wouldnt it be best to try and be represented by the best teams from the north year in and year out?<br>2) I used next year as an example but I also mentioned Moorhead and Roseau as they are the most frequent teams at the state tourney and will be affected in the following years. I am not trying to minimize any team or program but point out what is in the works and potential outcomes. I dont think the Moorhead people are happy with the proposal!<br><br><br><br><br><br><br> <p></p><i></i>

My two cents: <br><br>Don't change anything! <br><br>4 TC area teams vs 4 outstate teams makes a great tournament. I don't see why we need to have a 5th or even 6th TC area team make the state playoffs when they haven't proven themselves as a top 4 from the TC area. Sure, the #5 from the TC area could be better than two of the outstate teams, but that doesn't mean as much as keeping the traditions and STATEWIDE intererst going. <br><br>Every year I wish the Northern teams do well, and they rarely disapoint. Without these teams in the state tourney, WE WILL LOSE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE SOME GREAT YOUNG TALENT that we normally don't get to see during the regular season. If the state tourney gradually becomes a Suburban tourney, then it loses it's luster as a STATE tourney.<br><br>I'm a TC guy, but MINNESOTA hockey is most important. <br> <br><br> <p></p><i></i>
