WBL vs. Orono
4 of the 7 goals were powerplay goals, 2 were 5 on 5, and 1 goal was shorthanded.

And yes it was a physical game, but any real hockey player likes those types of games.

state
OK, ya WBL deserves to be at state, but tell me the last time where there hasn't been a team like that to go to state? Look at the high school this year, does Holy Angels not deserve it? Jefferson? Look at this years Bantams? Jefferson, Orono, the point is they didn't win in regions. Also, look at last year Bantams... Rosemount? Burnsville? WBL? There is ALWAYS teams that could be going to state who got a tough schedule or upset in regions. There's NEVER going to be the best 8 teams at state.

Re: state
That's a good point griz and its very true. It's a shame that the regions ended up the way they were. I'm sure WBL, Orono, Jefferson, and Osseo players are bummed because their teams were arguably good enough to go to state and probably would have made it out of another bracket. That's done now though. The state tournament will still be good and competitive. The teams that are there are still very good teams and maybe only the Owatonna games will be blowouts. Should be fun to watch.

Re: state
Have to agree with Griz on this one. It may not seem "fair", but thats how the format works. Good luck to all the teams that made it to state this year.
