Game lived up to billing in a packed Buffalo Civic Center...Scaterelli and Jensen played very well but appeared worn down by last 10 minutes...Rogers picks up a couple power play goals and Bison win it on a PP tally. I thought Bison front line was the difference in this one...constant pressure Royal defense and scoring on the PP...Bison win it and Neut0fer14 is now Neut0fer15...
In a few short years this has turned into a great rivalry game...no one tonight witnessed a better/hard fought game than this one...

Congrats to the Bison!
It was indeed a great game to watch.
They say goal tending wins big games, and tonight that was the case.
Shots were 32-28 I believe in favor of Buffalo, and they win it 4-3, but I'll bet not one person believed it was over until the final horn sounded.
Until next year the Bison will hold the Crown.
The Rogers boys can be proud of the effort they put forth.
Nice Job!

Not sure goaltending was the difference as I have seen Zitur perform miracles and play less than average. tonight he was in between those zones....didnt think any Bison goals were soft? I just thought that the Bison applied pressure when they needed it and responded well to Royal goals. Bison only had a couple PP chances and capitalized when they needed to.Can't Never Tried wrote:Congrats to the Bison!

Great win for the Bison tonight. We were finally able to get out of our little conference slump and start playing to our potential. I was very impressed with the Royals tonight and they way they never gave up and continued to battle until the final buzzer. Goaltending was definatly the difference tonight with Zitur playing strong and coming up with a few key saves. Jensen was again fun to watch. The way he jumps up so quickly and creates scoring chances is amazing. Props go out to Rogers tonight in a game well fought.

At least 2 were soft, the 1st one and the one off the stick that provided a great ramp right up top

As I said before it should have been a weekly pick em game because it was that close.
Fun game, in a great atmosphere.
Oh! and hat's off to the new music man

Yeah they might have been "soft" but you can't blame it on the goalie. There were some time where the defense was very lackluster in this game, and the rogers goalie made some very nice saves. The one problem with hockey is almost every time the goalie makes an error it shows on the scoreboard but when a player screws up he can tuck his tail and come back to the bench and most people are none the wiser. But it was obvious in the stands for some reason some rogers players seemed to be disinterested or not working in the defensive end. Also Buffalo sent a message right away by blowing up a rogers player right in front of the rogers bench, and that seemed to make some players timid about taking a hit. It was a well fought game by both teams is just came down to rogers not scoring in the second period when they have some very nice chances in the slot. Can't Never Tried wrote:At least 2 were soft, the 1st one and the one off the stick that provided a great ramp right up topTechnique I think!
And if I recall properly there was one line for rogers that was on the ice each time Buffalo scored an even strength goal. So that is a nice minus 3.

With the exception of a few players that's nothing special to this game or circumstance.puckulence wrote: and that seemed to make some players timid about taking a hit.
And didn't the Bison have 2 PP goals?? so how do you get a -3 for even strength?? or did I miss something here?
Also I'm not blaming the goalie, as he did as good as either of the other 2 would have, they just aren't strong in that pos. and anyone who knows anything about this team would agree.

I thought the difference was Buffalo's front line...they scored 3 goals, held play in the Rogers end and wore out Scat and Jensen. I thought the Rogers goalie made some huge saves including one great diving save on a shot that would have sealed the deal for the Bison. Despite the underlying tone laid by CNT I think the Bison deserved to win. Can't Never Tried wrote:With the exception of a few players that's nothing special to this game or circumstance.puckulence wrote: and that seemed to make some players timid about taking a hit.

Rogers played the Bison twice and scored 5 goals...4 on the Power Play...Bison played Rogers twice and scored 6 goals...one on the PP...don't know where CNT is heading but it seems his keyboard is writing checks the facts and the stats can't cash

However barring a Bison trip up, against BBL, or the back to back Princeton games

Enjoy, I did!
