I've been to plenty of LF games. I've played against them from squirts through HS and have watched them in years since. This season I've been to the FF game, the game in WDC and the one in Alex. I know that Ben Hanowski is a good player and the fact that I think he's overrated doesn't mean that I think he's crap. He knows how to finish, he's fast, he can be physical on occasion. The way his stats are inflated are the same way Blake Wheeler's stats were inflated in his last year at Breck. Once his D gets the puck he's flying down the ice and gets the pass and gets breakaway after breakaway. It still takes skill to finish and he does it as well as anyone. His offensive skills are unmatched in 6a, but the style that LF plays, in my opinion, won't translate well if they make it to the X and are playing the top teams in the state.
Geez, it'd be nice if people took time to read an entire post as opposed to reading 2 words, see that it's not something that puts their team on a pedestal, and instantly freaking out.
Nothing wrong with getting your star player the puck. I bet the coaches encourage it
Well looks like the best player in 6A proved himself no doubt now cleansheet you just ticked him off. Poor sportsmanship by the otters gaffke taking runs at opponents Good game Ben and Spearl played well too. Good win for the Flyers 13 straight should be a good section tourney.

What Bauer 3000 said nothing wrong with getting the puck to you star player.
Cleansheet01 are you disciple of Bruce 06 ......sounds like it
Lofquist played for FF and played pretty well. 4 goals, yes, but stood on his head for much of the game. I have no idea how or why I would have ticked Ben Hanowski off. I said he was the best player in 6a and the fact that I think he's overrated has nothing to do w/ his playing skill it's how people think of him. He got the hattrick tonight and played well and I was impressed even more tonight because of his speed although I was a bit disappointed in his hesitance to take a hit. He had a few plays where he "alligator armed" it. He didn't want to mix it up at all tonight. I thought Spearl didn't play his best game, not weak goals, but some he definately had an opportunity to stop. Torin Gaffke is an idiot. Flying around w/ fists as the game came to a close. He had 2 costly penalties for the Otters. I think the turning point of the game was a TERRIBLE no call in which Cody Peck took a knee-to-knee and was lucky he wasn't injured. Moments later LF took the lead for the first time. All-in-all though, I thought the refs called a good game and for the most part let the boys play. Very entertaining game to watch and I think this sets up an exciting section championship game assuming FF can get by Alex which is not a given by any means.
In a side note, Lucas Gervais had the flu and you've got to give a tip of the hat to him for gutting it out and playing a pretty good game.
just a note, anyone who was at the game saw sperl get run by gaffke with another cheap shot. he ended up chipping sperl's tooth and cutting his lip, as well as giving him a bloody nose as he came flying through with a hard left... Gaffke is an unbelievably cheap player and should have been kicked out of the game at least.

Ya we all know about the cheapness of Fergus, so it doesn't suprise me at all, but if this all did happen like people are saying, why wasnt Gaffke ejected from the game?

This dosen't surprise me, Fergus is always giving cheap shots.
