Flame the only way the score would be 6-1 is if the Flyers won. No way the Otters can hold the Flyers to one goal. Sperl has been playing very good latley and will continue on Tuesday. Flyers 4-2

You're right, Peck is NOT the best player in 6A. But someone stated in a different thread that he doesn't make his teammates better and that is ridiculous. I believe he has more assists than goals (don't quote me on that, but it's close). I DO think that Ben Hanowski is overrated. He is a very very good player, don't get me wrong, but anyone can put up above average numbers if they "cherry pick" all game long.

FF has the advantage of them playing earlier this year. Coach Donahue will pound it into the defense's heads that you can't let the Flyers behind them and get those easy breakaways. Jason Lofquist, the So. goalie for the Otters gives them a much better chance to win then Sr. Chris Hadland did in the first game. Lucas Gervais' coming out party of all 4 goals in the first game will force the Flyers to focus more on him which will hopefully give Peck more space to work.

My prediction:

FF-5
LF-4

Game will be decided in the last 2 minutes.

sounds like this cleansheet01 is a disiple of brucey, kool aid drinker, or both. There is a reason why Ben Hanowski is referred to as coach Hanowski around the LF team this guy is without a doubt the best player in 6A hands down and not overrated.

I didn't say Benny boy wasn't the best in 6a. I think he is. I said that he is a very very good player. But the way people slobber on his know all day is ridiculous. All I said that he is overrated in the fact that he isn't the second coming. His stats ARE inflated because of the style that LF plays.

Well I don't know it, but it does sound like you need to go back to high school and learn some proper sentence structuring. And how can you say that his stats are inflated? Ben is the 5th on the tops of scoring for the year. And I think he missed a total of 5 games this season. How can you tell me or the rest of this forum that he is not a well gifted player? You need to go, and look up your stats like I believe most of us know or do before coming here and making statements like you are doing .

How many times have you seen LF play this year :?: You're telling me a guy who was heavily recruit since he was a freshman is overrated, well I guess Bob Motzko didn't think so. His stats are inflated because of the style that LF plays, ok whatever brucey kool-aid drinker  it still takes ability to put the puck in the net.

We never said he was the second coming buddy but seriously I dont understand the "inflated style of play" Little Falls has tried to play the game where a good offense is a good defense and sometimes it gets them into trouble.

cleansheet you prolly dont even have a clue what a clean sheet of ice looks like after reading your posts i think i've gotten stupider

wow, ok...

Once again, I said that Hanowski is a very very good player, great even.

That being said, the Little Falls Flyers, from squirts all the way up to HS play the same way. In the defensive zone, once they get the puck the fly a guy and go for the big play time and time again. It works, they win games, great. It's the same thing in college football w/ the spread offensive in teams like Hawaii this past year. It allows for high scoring games and is the ONLY reason why I have made this point at all. In another offense Hanowski would still have good numbers, just not as good as they are right now, hence, they are a bit inflated. That's the only reason why I say he is overrated. People look at his numbers and say he is wayne gretzky reincarnate. Just because you may be overrated doesn't mean you aren't a good player and it's no fault of his own.

Does the fact that he was one of the higest scoring players in the summer Elite league mean anything? Personally, I think he'd be a standout on any HS team in the state. Just my .02.

Does the fact that I said he was the best player in 6A mean anything to you?

I've been to plenty of LF games. I've played against them from squirts through HS and have watched them in years since. This season I've been to the FF game, the game in WDC and the one in Alex. I know that Ben Hanowski is a good player and the fact that I think he's overrated doesn't mean that I think he's crap. He knows how to finish, he's fast, he can be physical on occasion. The way his stats are inflated are the same way Blake Wheeler's stats were inflated in his last year at Breck. Once his D gets the puck he's flying down the ice and gets the pass and gets breakaway after breakaway. It still takes skill to finish and he does it as well as anyone. His offensive skills are unmatched in 6a, but the style that LF plays, in my opinion, won't translate well if they make it to the X and are playing the top teams in the state.

Geez, it'd be nice if people took time to read an entire post as opposed to reading 2 words, see that it's not something that puts their team on a pedestal, and instantly freaking out.
