Click on "Bantam B" and scroll down to the district tournament. There is a link to the tournament bracket. Gary does a great job with the Roseau youth hockey website.
Found it, Thanks! Yes, the Roseau site is very good and is usually updated immediately. I had the pleasure of visiting a bit with your webmaster last year, I think we were waiting for some kids to get off a hotel computer so we could update our websites with tournament scores. Always a good job, please keep it up!

Some crazy hockey games today, here is the link to the D11 bracket.

I've never seen a team get over 60 minutes in penalties and still win, but East was able to do it.

I've never seen a ref that wanted to be the star of the game right from the beginning more than that one. good game by both teams none the less. Hermantown played well for a little over a period, then folded at the end. DE wins 5-0

As someone in the boxes, I can assure you, the ref was justified in the misconduct calls. I don't think kids at the Bantam level should be using the type of language that I heard. There is no place in the game for that garbage.

I was very impressed by both teams, it was well played and I look forward to the championship. Hopefully the kids will concentrate on the game, rather then trying to be the next Andrew Dice Clay!

typically misconducts are called if the language is pretty bad and is directed at another player or the ref. saying "PLEASE BAN ME" or "damn" to yourself outloud and not in a demonstrative way because you missed a shot or a pass isn't usually called. And it should not stop the initial play. He was a bit self serving after the first couple. i don't condone the swearing, but they're fourteen years old in big game. it's not a knitting tournament, and again they were certainly not obvious about it to anyone watching the game. you may have heard the frustration in the box after the call. I doubt you heard the initial infraction from inside the box. whatever, tomorrow's another day... :P

not sure of where "please ban me" came from. apparently the forum has a censor for the s word that was in those quotes.

All the players in this region are now set, Duluth East beat the Duluth Lakers in the D11 championship. Region field looks like this:

North Red Division:
D16-#1 Roseau
D12-#2 International Falls
D11-#2 Duluth Lakers
D16-#3 East Grand Forks (Regional Host Bye)

North Blue Division:
D12-#1 Grand Rapids
D16-#2 Warroad Red
D11-#1 Duluth East
D12-#3 Hibbing

I missed on my predictions of Moose Lake out of D11 and Warroad White out of D16.

See you all in East Grand Forks on Friday! I wish you all safe travels and good luck!
