Stillwater wins this 5-4. I think it will come down to getting the kids up for the game and I think Housley will do a better job. I really like both coaches. I have seen them both coach for a number of years. I know, I know plenty dislike for both coaches but I think Stillwater pulls this out.

5 on 5 was even, along with shots.

WBL has had issues finishing games so Stillwater maybe out played them in the last 10 minutes, where they score a majority of their goals.

I think it's tough to say one team outplayed the other team. If you're looking at shots on goal, then the edge is Stillwater. But I think in both games, each team had stretches where they were better than the other team. I expect a simular game Wednesday, and it easily could come down to which goalie makes the biggest save. My biggest concerns wth the Bear's this season has been watching them struggle bringing the puck out of their own zone, and their inability to finish off games in the closing minutes.

Keep in mind I am 3-782 in my analysis predictions, including my 8-0 prediction over Roseville that saw a goal scored in the final :25 seconds kept me from going bonkers.

I think it I just got a body shot. Trust me respect for coaches is in the eye of the beholder. Whether a coach is doing a good job is relative. Look around the SEC they are in the top four for sure...but I am not here to defend those guys. The beauty of sports is their records will speak for themselves.

Over the length of the season, SW & WBL have played 20 games against the same common opponents. Point totals and goal differential for each team vs common opponents (CO) follow:

WBL 92 vs CO 71 = 21 pt goal differential

SW 75 vs CO 42 = 33 pt goal differential

Always helps to have the whole picture prior to cocking-off.

Based on the whole picture, one would think that Stillwater would have finished higher in the conference standings and should have been seeded higher than #3...perhaps even #1. They have finished strong down the stretch (let's all forget the ER game...that was just an off night) and right now, they are clearly the team to beat. Who knows, maybe the Bears can pull off the upset.

Still WBL has not been playing their best hockey. I pick the Bears to win only if Sager can get his 1st line to play better in the neutral and defensive zones, 2nd line has to capitalize on their scoring chances and Sager leaves his 2 power play lines alone(fat chance he cant help himself). As always hold your breath for the defence, goalie and 3rd line(but fun to watch the chaos they cause). This is a lot to overcome but Good luck Bears hope you win because I love watching the WBL/Hill games for the championship they are truely classic!!

The tournament they are currently playing in is called “Sections." If you continue to dwell on conference standings/seedings and a single Stillwater “Win” vs ER, you will likely miss out on some great playoff hockey. Not sure what your ax-to-grind is, but I can confidently say that the WBL & SW fans will see a fantastic game tomorrow night. When all is said and done, you can bet the majority of the losing teams’ fan-base will be rooting for the winning team on Friday night vs H-M. If H-M is as stuck in the past as one of their biggest supporters on this forum, there will be a new team representing the Class 4AA Section, at the X this year.

Both of those games were counted as part of the 20 games against common opponents. While I agree, and would've been content looking at "head-to-head" only, PPG got me thinking about things after harping on the 1-0 SW win over ER. I'm glad PPG brought it up, as I had assumed WBL would've had the better overall point-differential against common opponents.
