Yeah, I wouldn't actually say everyone in the north are hoping hermantown will win. Like someone said earlier, I think Hermantown is the best matchup Virginia could have asked for in their first game. Yes, Hermantown might have had a better record, but considering them almost losing to Denfeld twice(one is a little contraversal), and the Hibbing game with them which again could have went either way plus the OT win with duluth marshall, and OT loss with CLOQUET? I can't see Hermantown having a HUGE advantage over Virginia. Go Blue Devils!!
Northern Minnesota, Now that's real Hockey!

Well let's see, if you look at my username, signature, or location, you will realize that I am from the North and therefore my post was dripping with sarcasm.

If Virgina comes out and plays like they did against Hibbing this will be quite a game. If they show up like they did against Marshall they will have trouble with Hermantown and will lose by 2. Virginia has to match Hermantown's physical play right from the drop of the puck. This should be the best quarter final game in single A.

Warroad doesn't have any Canadians on their team. I don't even believe that anyone has moved there on this current team. You should research before you make posts like that.

No, I thought Hibbing would make it, but Virginia outplayed them and were stronger. I remember last year how Virginia fans were saying they would go "all the way" but ended up 0-2.

well there is a 12.5% chance Virginia will win it...
Do I think they will? Probably not. It would take 3 HUGE performances in a row, which will probably not happen. Do I think Virginia can take this game? YES, If Virginia's team plays like a team and everyone is on top of their game, they we will this one.

Virginia doesn't have a 12.5% percent chance to win. That would be like saying that the Detroit Lions have a 1/32 chance to win the Super Bowl. In all reality it is much less than that.

oh wow comparing the hermantown hibbing game really? altho virginia beat them, they also lost to them, also the games they played them could have gone either way too, as for the denfield games one was poor reffing the second game hermantown had the lead for over half the game... and also the reffing sucked at that game too, also not to mention some of the extremely difficult games virginia had... either u blew out the poor teams or got you butts handed to you by the good teams, the h-town cloquet game was a fluke yet a wake up call for h-town, i can see this being a four goal win for hermantown, keep dreaming range cause you arent getting out of the first round again with a win this year, as for the advantage h-town has, they will let u follow krause around all game they still have more than enough talent to bury the devils

Thanks nickmon3!! :D
ok So I'm the bolded part im guessing you are talking about the Virginia/Hibbing game. and no offense to you Hibbing people out there but how could a 3-0 win and a 5-1 win go either way? They game that went into OT yes. But the other 2 no.

DON'T insult the Range...we stick together on that topic...

Is there anyway you KIDS from Hibbing, falls and Virginia can open up a new thread to argue about the past and your high school drama so we can actually talk about hockey?

Just a question, so no need to go on the defensive and start name calling like big boys now.

Devils will have to win this game from the first minute of play,by attacking early and often should be a physical game. See you at the big city. :D

I hope your team goes into this game cocky. You Hermantown fans think your hockey team is the best team out there, well YOUR NOT! It will no way be a 4 goal game for Hermantown. Just for your idiotic comment. I hope Hermantown loses, I hate to bring this up again, but you never would have beat Hibbing if it wasn't for the refs. You seem to have alot of excuses for losing games. I'd shut it, because your making Hermantown Hockey look bad.
