12/7 Breck at St Thomas
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
I thought Crandell played fairly well and had a few big stops but I thought the difference was the speed and passing ability of STA overall. The Breck defense isn't vey good and had a number of bad breakdowns and were beaten by better skaters. STA is clearly playing as a complete unit and the young guys at Breck haven't figured that out yet.
Shuck the puck!!!

Ability wise I don't think they will be ab underdog, but mentally they will. Edina will be playing teams that 95% of the state would say are better than STA, and STA will be playing teams that 99% of the state would say are worse than Edina. Regardless of who you are and how good you are, it's hard to do that. Don't get me wrong, I want STA to win just as much as any other alum, but that's my opinion.

well, I guess alum is 'slang' and alumnus is correct. But I would say any team coming up on a game like St Thomas is compared to Edina is would be the underdog basically because of that. If the schedules were reversed I would say it would be Edina. I'll be there on the St Thomas side of Aldrich cheering for them, and I hope I get to see Crandall let just as many in as he did against Breck, but I guess only time will tell.
