Hey Mo, thats place sounds more like a place of 'worry'-ship lately. You should have Mogie from that joint pull your sled. I see you changed the lyrics back to where they rightly belong. You guys pickin Stitchie up Saturday? :?: :?

Hey Morris, you guy goin' to the "Palm Isle" prior to the Flyer/Warrior tilt on Tuesday. Could have the whole town of LF there, including the welfare Moms, to watch the Flyers pound the stake through the Warriors CLC hearts!

We are plannin on it although that isn't public information seein as I could end up in the Carleton County Cooler. By the way ANGUS! BADER WANTS A CRACKER!! BWAACK

Day 10 started with Zer0 fired up happy about the weather. We packed up the sleds on our way to Slappys Image. We hadda nice, swift glide to Slappys poleshed and then everything went haywire. As soon as Zer0 walked in dat shed, Slappy got up off his puter chair and drilled him right between the eyes. Slappy mumbled somethin about a cow-plow and walked away. Zer0 woke up soon and asked for a dollar menu fry. ( I wont even get into what went down last night, but Zer0 thanks you CU). Zer0 mentioned he was Catholic by birth, and civility resumed.

So far on the amuck-in-Minnesota tour today (Saturday) we have numerous shady bunch members heading to grandmas for Lunch. 1-Below_O_Zer0, 2- Snake Vigilante 3- Blues-somebody 4- DVDscout 5- Slappy 6-Angus Young 7- Born In A Female Prison 8- CU@darink 9 Ernie Mccracken 10- mahself Morris Wanchuk - glad to meet ya

Good weather/ smooth ride

Post by Morris Wanchuk »

The 'BUNCH' really enjoyed themselves in Duluth today. Before the autograph session we had a Barnyard fan pose next to the dog sled.
Image

We recognized him right away as "faschetti" the Italian Ice Guru. He declined to participate in the signing session but was gracious enough to pose next to our sleigh. Cheers to faschetti! The trip went good the game went bad. ACk- who cares we had fun anyways. It definitiely felt like a barnyard @ pioneer hall. Felt like we were at a symposium (which astute readers know that shady bunchers wouldnt attend) with ice.

So brings us to day 11! One to go for MO. I love the Barnyard fans, they seem so harsh on here but when met in person are really fun people. I met a couple that was on their way to a rock concert after the game! Mo is still mad that Lee had no free Hounds tickets...guess he gave him to tWife.

On the eleventh day of Criss/Cross my new gloves gave to me.....

Take me to the river...

Post by Stitch Lips »

I couldn't help but notice the "Snake Man" is back. It's a good thing I can "udderstand" anglitsch or we'd all be in the dark without yours truly ... The Translator.

Well Snaky ... I may not be Bin Laden ... but I have "been lauding" about the success of the Moorhead Spuds this season albeit, not in the old style of our long-lost friend, Videoscout.

The autograph session at the DECC on the shores of Lake Superior on Saturday was special indeed. The Shady Bunch was well-represented and I have to commend your father for taking time out in his busy schedule and making the trip to Duluth. I have to say though that his helicopter (Blackhawk) arriving a half-hour late at Brainerd Regional Airport put a glitch in our schedule. Some of us were not able to attend the pow-wow at Grandma's as a result.

The ride provided by Morris Wanchuk was first class, as usual. Typical Shady Bunch style to say the least. Nothing like a champagne flight in a beautiful, ebony stretch-limo with the Shaken Bunch and seven Blondes a swimming with some elbows on some fair knees. I would say there were a few elbows from Shep's on that cruise.

It would have been nice to run into you at the game. Someone did mention that they thought they saw you peeking from the curtains underneath the bleachers at Pioneer Hall. I think it was easthockey who said that, I'm not sure.

That was one heckuva toga party that you went to. Are you related to Sara? I heard that her parties are "invitation only" and you need to wear a hood to preserve anonymity.

I hope those "eyes in the sky" inside Sara's Toga Party were spray-painted ... or at least the tapes were erased. God only knows what h  ll would break loose if those tapes were released.

Again, it was great to see your Dad ... you may want to give him some advice on who he invites to his parties back on the banks of the Red Lake River ... the Manson Family might draw some criticism.

I like the cave that he lives in though. Just make sure he evacuates before the spring flood hits. I'm sure Slappy will put him up for a week or two until the waters recede.

The trip to Duluth was accented with an informal meeting with the ever-gracious host of this fine forum, Lee Pagan Off. Lee got to meet Bluesbuddy's spokesperson, Below 0 Zero and yours truly.

Legend has it that if you ever get your photo taken with charter members of the Shady Bunch, you become a member by default.

Welcome to the Shady Bunch Lee!!

Congrats on a convincing win by the Hounds!

Well, thanks Stitch for the initiation. Didn't hardly hurt a bit.

Was fun to meet a few of you, but not sure about the comment that "I look like you thought I would". Did you see the pic I used to have up on the minnhock site of myself? That was ten years of marriage, several wrinkles and a lot of hair ago.

Brainerd came out and played hard; the Hounds were in a game and they knew it.

Hope we can meet up at tDECC next month for Super Semifinal Saturday.

Lee

oh, can I get a copy of the pic from the video capture? I might re-inagurate the Webmaster page on minnhock. I deleted it a few years ago and have no idea why I did.

Well Lee ... at first we imagined you as looking like Jeff Johnson from Big Fork .. but you ended up sharing the same likeness of Frank Krahn from Warroad.

Either or ... it's nothing to be ashamed of.

At least we didn't imagine you to look like Slappy ....

Anybody know if Shep's on 6th serves food and, if so, what's the selection? I know they serve a lot of crow based on many of the predictions offered up on this "bored" by many of the regulars that frequent the joint. Making the long trip to see if Cooch can get the Brainerd monkey off his back - anybody have any data whether LF has ever beaten Brainerd in hockey?

12th day or the moral of the story (minus a couple posts)

Post by Morris Wanchuk »

Well folks, its been fun, it's been nice, but I wouldn't try it twice. The whole thread was a fictional story about a bunch of shady characters who do NOT exist. The lesson to be learned is, you need to laugh at yourself, and realize that this is indeed a message bored and not real life. For, in fact if it was, we would log-in under our real names and list our addressess and phone numbers for people who disagree to call. To the real people that agreed to be mentioned .... Thank you, you are the definition of "Good Sport."

Which brings Mo to the MO-ral of the story. While the travels, and escapades of the shady bunch were fictional, the sportsmanship they showed are real. Cheer for your team, and players if you want. Talk your lips off about how great they are. Leave your negative comments about other TEAMS or individual PLAYERS to yourself. Not only do u make yourself sound fool-hardy, you contribute nothing positive to the board. I could quote instance after instance where this happens, but am quite frankly sick of it.

It doesn't matter if u like this team or that team, conservative or liberal, catholic or otherwise. The truth is we have this great sport played every winter in this state, and it should be respected, no matter if it is River Lakes, or Moorhead, or Holy Angels playing.

Thanks to the members who were not afraid to participate in this thread....tomorrow night, I'm putting it to bed.

On the twelvth day of Criss/Cross my new gloves gave to me
TWELVE- HUNDRED (+) VIEWS

Sheps is the biggest seller of the four-meat Giovannis pizza in the world! ( little known fact- geno paluchi(sp?) wanted the recipe, but didnt have enough jing). The Crow is served up free in that joint nightly. The Floaters have won a few games in the series in the past and traditionally give the barnyard a junkyard-dog type of fight. Hence, the need to hype it for twelve days. Coochie-coo may get one monkey off his back, but you'll still be around( )

Maybe Mo will pull the dogsled up to that place for some happy hour theatrics before the said tilt. You bring the welfare moms, and Mo will bring the dollar menu fries. AY
