It was a miracle no one was injured.

How could no one be seriuosly hurt? Cant happen.

Must be luck. Fate maybe.

IS would answer the question with his secular YES: It Can Happen

But I say it was.....

There is no guidance in the scriptures regarding God's sense of humor, Neut. But He gave us one and we are said to be made in His image and likeness so you take it from there.

It was difficult to maintain a sense of humor about the CDH vs Marshall game. 3-1 Hilltoppers. Neither team played well IMO. Sloppy game. Although both teams first goals were good ones, that was about it.

CDH moves on to close out the conference season vs Roseville on Thursday.

HM snuck by Mahtomedi 5-4 for the Classic championship. I wonder if the Zephyrs were pumped to knock off Hill after the FSN announcers awarded the title to HM after the STA game.

Lenten hockey. Everything covered in Purple and Gold.

Stations of The Cross. Sore knees. Fishsticks and tartar sauce.

Best time of the year.

Its our time.

The Red PioRaidaStars will shine in this time. On the road From Constantinople to St Paul

Well, the Lenten celebration continues as we wind down the season.

BSM won its conference;HM won its conference; AHA won its conference; CDH will finish anywhere form 2-4 in the SEC depending on tonights finale with Roseville.
Bless us oh Lord for these thy gifts.

The throng that Marches with us to St Paul continues to grow as we near the Holy City with its Coliseum and Centers built so that Catholic teams could play there as was the case on Hockey Day in Minnesota while the rest were left.......well, out in the cold.

Lets go to our live mini cam and see whats happening out on the road:

Image

Its gettin crowded. The fans love the Catholic teams who are so tiny but have the courage to play the huge suburban conglomerates. We feel that love all the way from Constantinople to St Paul

Ahhh, nothing so rare as a Friday in Lent. It just doesnt get any better than this.

Nice cloudy, grey day; white circles all over the garage floor;a little more snow to make the streets and driveways a little more narrow. Its great.
It's Like a Dream Come True

CDH lost to Roseville 4-0 and AHA beat Stillwater 3-0.

HM closes out vs Da Spuds in Moorhead on Saturday

BSM vs Robbinsdale and AHA goes against Northfield.

Regular season is over after Saturday and then a Genesis occurs. All teams are 0-0.

As the season ends a new one begins.

In the beginning...........

Its getting closer. We can see the The Coliseum as it rises in the distance. We anticipate the great battles that will take place there. Hopefully no lions show up

The road is getting shorter. No more detours.

Constantinople is far behind us now. Any more stumbles and the road ends.

Climb in back, heavens waitin on down the tracks. Sit tight take hold, on the road..... From Constantinople to St Paul

Our heros and the darlings of Minnesota high school hickey have wrapped up their regular seasons.

HM took some metro Catholic hockey up to Moorhead and beat the Spuds.

BSM and AHA won by a lot.

HM is seeded #1 in 4AA

CDH #4 in 3AA

BSM is #2 in 6AA

AHA is #4 in 2AA

All members of our Holy Alliance are #4 or higher and will play the first round on home ice. Very impressive.

We continue on the road From Constantinople to St Paul. This great throng of supporters that travels with us keeps our spirits up and adds quickness to our steps.

As The Boss joins us on his way to St Paul singin:

We aint lookin for praise or pity
We aint comin round searchin for a crush
All we want is more money and recruits
And a little of that human touch
Just a little of that human touch

Folks, let us not overlook the Crusaders of St. Cloud Cathedral as the #1 seed in Section 5A. They'll embark on their crusade to St. Paul starting later this week and likely will need to knock off the heathen from Hermantown and either Duluth Denfeld/Sauk Rapids to capture the 5A Holy Grail.

Yes, the CDH girls benefitted from a little divine intervention as their journey From Constantinople to St Paul is completed.

WAY TO GO!

How can you explain it? Evolution? The Big Bang Theory? "Scientific " mumbo jumbo?

Id say it was a new season. Id say look to:

I don't think the good Lord "hates" anything, it's just that he fails to recognize Class A as a legitimate state tournament.

Welcome Crusaders! Join with us in prayer on our Lenten journey to the Holy City named after the great Apostle whose conversion took place on another road, the road to Damascus.

The Holy Allianace Marches onward inspired by the CDH girls and Miracle on Ice that they preformed.

The throng continues to grow as we draw nearer to the outskirts of The City as we are one win from competing in the great Coliseums.

From Constantinople to St Paul, The Genesis unfolds.

I don't think she could brake the skin as my hands are so callus from all the beatings in my early days. Can't grab the hair either, as that is all but gone. I think her frustration on how to dwell out her punishment would only add to my pain later. #-o

I feel your pain, Ppg.

But the good Sisters now March with us.

Here are a few that ditched Mother Angelica to refresh themselves from the rigors of all of the travel:

Thanks Packerboy. We, the Class A Crusaders, join our Class AA brethern as one in Faith and in the Holy Alliance. Going back to 1095 CE, when Pope Urban II expanded "The Truce of God", which outlawed fighting from Sunday to Wednesday, and banned fighting involving priests, monks, women, laborers and merchants, the Crusaders have defended the onslaught of the invaders and now look to the Holy City to defend the holiest of coliseums.

No, not really. The fact that the Tourney historically has been a Thursday through Saturday format is based on the tradition of Pope Urban.

Well BlueGoose, Urban II has long been a favorite of mine also. Never cared much for Urban I, however.

Constantinople has been left behind now to eventually be sacked by the Crusades in a few hundred years.

We look soley to St Paul for our salvation but thank Constatinople for the craddle it provided us to nuture our journey.

It should be noted that The Blue Goose has provided packerboy and fishin buddy jackdaniels with much nourishment in the form of brown colored liquor over the years to assist us in our efforts on the open water.

The Holy Alliance of the Red PioRaidaStars and the Crusaders March on. We March From Constantinople to St Paul

The CDH Raiders and HM Pioneers must win to advance to the Great Coliseum in St Paul and then to the Arena on the River.

BSM and AHA must play in the far outposts occupied by pagans before being allowed into the Holy City.

Deliver us from evil.

But allow me to retort CNT. All kidding aside.

3AA is wide open. This Rosemount love fest is over blown. Sure, they might be the favorite but only because there has to be one.
CDH has played a tough schedule. I know, they havent won many games so who cares about the schedule.

But they have lost many close games to teams who are just as good as Rosemount or better. A bounch here or there and that changes. If they get past Rosemount and play Woodbury, its Up for Grabs

HM is a lock in 4AA

BSM has Tonka and others to over come in 6AA. But there is no reason to hand this section to anybody. BSM is a quality team who beat Edina. Not very many people would be at all surprised if BSM won.

2AA has Edina and AHA probably couldnt beat Edina more than 2 out of 10 times. But AHA has a pure sniper who can change the scoreboard in an instant and a solid goalie who can shut a team down.

This whole thing could be a lot more intersting than yee of little Faith are thinking.
