From Constantinople to St.Paul: Episode 1

Post by packerboy »

As some may be aware, we have followed the Catholic schools on the bored and have defended their right to exist in spite of being constantly "Nailed to The Cross " , so to speak.

This thread will celebrate the success and monoitor the progress of Catholic schools in a prequel to previous threads such as the "Crusades" and "Wait Until Lent ".

As we recall that Constantine stopped the persecution of the ancient Christains and became the first Roman emperor to become a Christian, we celebrate the lack of persecution that exists on the bored today and the warm regard that all hold for the Catholic schools.

In essence , we declare a return to Constantinople , a city that was named after its modest founder and made the captial of the Roman empire as it existed around 300 AD. A place where then ancient Christians could finally flourish with out persecution.

For those of you US Americans who are geographically challeneged, ah , as such, I personally believe that Costantinople is located in Turkey and is now what is known as Istanbul. ...for the children

We return to Constantinople so that we can freely express, without persecution, our support of 4 Catholic AA schools that have a shot at being in St Paul the week before Palm Sunday.

Out of Section 2 will come AHA. Oh sure , I know they don't look so good and Edina is there but remember the last 2 years. The Stars have been upset in a big way in Sections. What better way to put that behind them than to shock everybody this year.

Section 3 : The 2006 Champion CDH Raiders. They dont look so hot either but they have been in every game this year except for a part of one and the competition from Rosemount, Woodbury and others is something prayer can over come.

Section 4: Hill Murray Pioneers. This section is competitive but not at all threatening to this traditional Catholic power that is anxious to erase last year's state tournament memories.

Section 6: The BSM Red Knights. Another tough row to hoe with 'Tonka winning the Schwans Gold but here again we must have Faith. BSM is a flashy sqaud that can compete with anyone.

From Constantinople to St Paul. Thats the road to travel. These are the teams to go there with.

Tonight CDH is in Cottage Grove to take on Park.

Hill Murry takes on Richfield.

CDH needs a win to turn things around. HM is still ticked about losing the Schwans final to 'Tonka.

BSM and AHA are hiding in the catacombs until the weekend.

These games must prepare the Catholics for the grueling trip that lies ahead.

The trip "From Constantinople to St. Paul"

Just as Constantine saw this vision on that road that lead him to Christainaity, we see the road "From Constantinople to St Paul"being travelled by these gutty teams from the Catholic schools.

These tiny witto schools that all opt to play with the big guys and in doing so capture the hearts of so many a fan and poster.

Fallacy - Constantine 'became and formed' to control the Christians within his empire and the pagans banging at the door.
Be wary of those that tell you it is in 'gods' name.
But be thankfully, the RAMS and BRONCOS, pagan gods, that will rise in the time of spring and bring mercy and faith to ALL the public people of our fine empire.

I see that elliott wishes to rewrite history and erase The Edict of Milan issued by Connie ( thats what his priest called him) that ended the persecution.

elliott , at the same time , shamefully promotes his teams from flannel shirt land but offers no road blocks to our teams on the way "From Constantinople to St Paul".

Well elliott, you just look Connie in the eye and say that.

He was a roman, that felt he was GOD. Just as his forerunners that pounded the nails. The northern pagans that rode fierce horses, stallions, BRONCOS and celebrated with the RAM will come from the north and do what the 'brain-washed', led like sheep, cidiots could not do. Persecution of one group replacing the persecution of others is not the message.

The message is that the championships belong to the PUBLIC and that is where it will rest.

Constantine would find it ironic as they were lesser gods than he. But no longer.

Last year the RAM and the HAWK.
Today, the RAM and the BRONCO.

Taken right off a page of Constantine's Bishops - symbollic.

Nice photo, though.

No kidding, something tells me if you lose the map to Constantinople you can still get there by following the path of needles, empty pill bottles, and crumpled up scripts for HGH.

"I see that elliott wishes to rewrite history," so sayth PB.

Wrong, again, PB.

Not re-writing, just applying proper logic and reasoning to the facts based on clear thought process rather than being led like a child.

The Stars are mortal and will feel the sting of the HORNET.

The great white bear will prove that the third time is the charm.

The strength of the Red Knights and that of the Raiders is true, only to be outdone by those wearing ROYAL blue.

But PB, stay on your knees begging for what will not be, remember HE answers the requests of all the PUBLIC.

I am more of an Episode IV fan... the classic, and who in section IV is more classic than the Pioneers?

HM will be the one finally destroying the Death Star, but you triple-initial Catholics can come along as our wingmen.

As we learned in Catholic grade school:

"Constantinople is a long word, but we can spell it... I. T.!"

As I surmised all along, Pistol has been simply "lurking", awaiting this thread. Welcome back, but don't get it locked.

I'm awaiting the start of two section favorites. I believe the Refs will be busy in this one.

Well , I see that elliott is not folowing The Edict and continues his persecution while donning his warmest flannel shirt.

Constantine will get you elliott.

In other action, CDH beat park 7-1 and HM beat Richfield 11-1.

I see the battle between Edina and Centennial ended 3-2 Hornets. Elliott and others have handed the Section championship to the Hornets already.
I dunno about that.

But lets not talk about those big schools. The fans and posters have adopted the 4 poor witto Catholic schools who all opt up as their darlings for this season.

We follow them on their journey, their journey "From Constantinople to St Paul"

I don't believe in GHOSTS, just RAMS and BRONCOS
and hornets.

BY WHAT DEFINITION. BIAFP where is your dictionary.
When you cap the number that may attend - you are selective - therefore subject to different rules.
No WITTO boys here.

You're right. How about $50 to HoundHockey to lock this religion based thread?

The money changers always come around don't they.

Well, we will drive them out of this temple of tolerance just like He did until they can contribute to the Constantinople theme.

This is about a group of high school hockey teams just as are all the section threads.

So those that come on and speak of money shall be driven out.

Just like this:

How are you supposed to recruit the most elite posters to this thread with a threatening attitude like that?

You'd think the boosters of the Constantiople Red Raidercadets would've taught you more more inviting recruiting techniques than that.
