The road is long with many a winding turn.

But there are many signs and symbols to encourage the Red PioRaidaStars as they travel that road "From Constantinolpe to St Paul" and the fine postere herein have provided us with a few.

The morning after the championship is Palm Sunday; the Tournament is played during Lent; in Saint Paul.......... to me this is a sign that something wonderful is going to happen.

Constantinople saw these signs too.

And as for you pistol, we are united here in this thread and if HM wins its first title since no one alive can remember thats OK.

He aint heavy Father, he's my brother.

As the Pioneers walk down the road to St. Paul, they may never notice stepping on some ant hills.

Having a good Catholic respect for life, they would not go out of their way to deliberately destroy them.

That's the way it has been with Hill, rolling over STA without even noticing, but now that STA is making noise atop the Class A ant hill, the Cadets present a problem...

They can't really hurt H-M, so why knowingly destroy their little "A" ant hill dreams?

It might be even worse, like killing a ladybug. STA has no girls, so don't half of them wear cute little dresses to their dances?

"Look out for that bump in the road, Zepeda," warns Cecka.

"It was just an ant hill we just flattened," says Furne.

"Too bad," add Singerhouse, Widing, and Kohls.

Later, Metcalf asks, "You sure those weren't ladybugs?"

To take a quote from a Tom Hanks movie,

"What's fun about that?" :?

Oh, yeah, when the ants come back and chew the skin off the Pie & Ears.
Okay, now I get it.
Maybe.

Hill has always been one of my favorite hockey programs.
And I just cannot stomach STA.

But for some reason I feel I should be cheering for the ladybugs tomorrow night.

Boys, boys.

We revisit here an age of tolerence. The end of hundreds of years of persecution. Constantine the Great (or as his friends called him , "Connie"), has signed the Edict. This is a prequel. Its Epidsode 1.

This give us the fredom to talk about out Catholic teams in one thread. Just as Romans had forced us into catacombs, many a poster here would have us all in one section or even ban us from competition. So we have this thread , via the Edict of Milan, to follow our heros.

And the kind folks have all embraced them. The poor witto opt up Catholic schools take on the big boys on the road "From Constantinople to St Paul" and the fans love them.

Tonight ,packerboy and family will be at Aldrich for the CDH vs WBL clash. Should be a good one. The crowd will no doubt embrace CDH as their darling. The sense of love for our Catholic darlings is palpable.

I shoulnt really disclose this but a lot of the WBL crowd will be secretly rooting for CDH because they are such a tiny witto school.

See yah later this PM.

Please excuse my limp, the last couple days I've been moving kind of slow. No, no, my cilice isn't too tight, it's from the flagellation I sustained Tuesday night in East Side.

No worries though.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the world JC

And technically, the Pirates are not a private school, but because of what once was, I think its okay to throw them in the mix.

Genuflect, cross myself, rise, clasp hands and bow head, walkout stopping briefly to check the scoreboard....

I see that Neut's last post here gives a whole new meaning to the phrase:

"nailed to the cross" .

But with my schedule today, that could be me around faceoff time.

Hopefully the road from Constantinople to Aldrich won't be filled with other cars.

As far as Govs lack of tolerance goes, when a mans hockey team dies, he starts thinkin bout why, and blamin others and resenting the success of others. His mind just aint right.

But we wont give him a night in the box.

Amen, amen, I say to you: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also..........

CDH lost to WBL area with about 30 seconds left in OT.

Very exciting game at Aldrich.

BSM won beating the entire Chisago Lakes area .

HM defeated STA .

The road "From Constantinople to St Paul" is a long one. The road traveled by CDH is difficult but they need to learn how to win a couple of these games against the competition they face.

I see that the Pope was confused by this cheek thing too. I dont balme him . For 2,000+ years we thought it meant one thing and now the wise man from the far north flannel shirt land bringing Ludefisk tells us it means another. Very disturbing

Father packerboy's intentions in these here pages are clearly pure and divine. But sometimes even the actions cf contemporary miracle workers can not equate to the impact of those in history.

For clarity, the nonbelievers need not look beyond one of MN HS Hockey's culture hearths. To draw the connection, one must know that the hallowed building that housed the first dynasty of our great sport is named in honor of the arena where Constaninoplians enjoyed entertainment and sport during the 5th century.

Indeed IS. But you anticipate the direction of our journey.

The journey on the road "From Constantinople to St Paul" has not yet reached this hallowed and sacred building which has housed so many an epic battle.

We have to Wait to arrive there.

The distance traveled so far must nearly be doubled before then.

They play Hutch tonight.

BSM is playing host to St Francis(nice name).

Good luck to the darlings of MN high school hockey, our beloved Red PioRadaStars.

We need some road music.

How 'bout some Mancini?

Dead ant,

Dead ant?

Dead ant, dead ant, dead ants!

Yes, "Pink Panther" is good, but "Being There" is better.

Being there almost every year, it's time for Pete Sellers' Pioneers to do a new water walking routine this March.

In the beginning, a great game was created in the Garden of Edina (2AA). The holy book reveals that AbRam (8AA; translated to Abraham in contemporary times) was an early master of this most blessed game. Throughout the ages, AbRam followed the Creator’s mandate to be fruitful and multiply. In fact, AbRam begot innumerable progeny who have been successful.

Throughout the generations, the great game was spread amongst the people. It was sailed to the New World via the exceptional maritime abilities of the Skippers (6AA). As with the dawn, it was first observed by those in the East (7AA).

In a sermon at the roseMount (3AA) the Creator reinstructed the rules for this most beautiful of games. He noted that “Blessed are the merciful” and those traveling from Mayo (1AA) took His mandate to heart. He further noted that “Whosoever is baptized and emerges from the waters of the great White bear Lake shall be blessed.” (4AA pick-em) In closing the sermon, the Creator warned of false prophets illegitimately claiming superiority and speaking presumptively. (Red PioRadaStars?)

And it came to pass that more than a Centennial (5AA) of games endured and the Creator was pleased.
