Congralations Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great run from Section 1AA!!
Are you saying Sager's poor choice of removing the goalie and putting in a cold goalie had nothing to do with the outcome of this game?

White bear earned all the penalties.... Are u kidding me yeah right you must be blind!!!
I'm kind of confused. I was not at the game, so I don't know when Jordan came in. According to the MSHSL official play by play of the game, he came in during the first overtime while WBL was on the power play, played the rest of the OT and gave up no goals. Posts here seem to indicate that he came in during the third period and gae up Lakeville's last two goals of regulation. What happened and which version is correct?

This has got to be the first time a referee tried to cover his tracks on the forum...
It's more like: Congrats to Lindgren for putting the team on his back!
He's gotta be sore by now.

During this game the shots were even, the scoring chances were also pretty even. you state that Lindgren carried this team on his back, although this may be true during the season and during several games, in the game against white bear lake the play was back and fourth. As someone else previously stated with 9 minutes left in the game the Bears had a chance to put the game away having 6 minutes in power plays ( and yet the panthers still scored two goals during this time.) Im not taking anything away from White Bear Lake because they had a great season, losing 1 game to every 4 games played isnt something to be mad about. But that being said, Charlie Lindgren and all of the players on Lakeville deserve it.
Sorry, you don't deserve a banner when you have a below .500 season. Lindgren got them past Lakeville South, then yes, the rest of the team showed up for the tournament.
LVN scored two goals in the last 2 minutes when Sager pulled the goalie in favor of the senior who hasn't played in quite a few games. (Not Jordan's fault by any means) Don't get too excited, champ.

As I noted in an earlier post, the game sheet appear to be wildly inaccurate as to many things.

"Come on Coach, we're up by 2 with less than 2 mins left, give the kid a tourney memory." So he does the right thing, in my book, and gets the player in the game & it didn't work out so well. So Sager takes the heat....you can't make this stuff up. I didn't see the game but I applaud the move. I doubt that Sager lost the game, but rather, LN won it. Sager's gotta love coaching to put up with as much crap as he does.
Why would anyone get worked up at all over the result of a consolation final? They should be played like a Sunday morning "Toilet Bowl" game and not even waste people's time with OT.
Are the WBL folks that upset about not being able to add another consolation title to the Vadnais Sports Center banner that Edina people snicker at during nearly every Moose Goheen tournament?
Sager had to know he'd be damned if did or damned if he didn't so he merely picked his poison and chose to give a kid a chance to play. While it would have been nice to have worked out better, who outside of some of the tools on this forum are going to remember or wallow in this result in years to come?

A valid point, a 3-1 lead will mean nothing to most people, and it will asll soon be forgotten. Most people will just remember it as yet another year where WBL lost in the quarterfinals, which is unfortunate after a good season like this.

r u stupid schletty worked his but off sophmore and jumior year to put his team there an u think jordan should have got the shot? it was 5-2 in the beginning of the season when he played them at least it was a close one! schletty played 23 games this year/ and 21 last year how does that add up to jordan getting the shot especially after schletty played all of the section games and beat hill? first goalie in 14 years to pull that one off thanks to the help of the team to.. but how can u say that? haha
and the correct story to the whole pulling the goalie thing i was at the game wbl was up 3-1 with 1:46 left on the clock schletty skated to the bench because of a penalty drawn by lake ville north they switch within a minute it was 3-3 jordan played the first ot and then there was a change and schletty got the nod again jordan knew he was gonna play he took warm up PLEASE BAN ME quite a bit to and then i saw him stretching on the bench... it wasnt the kids fault but what a way to end the season for the seniors would it have been bettter to jus leave schletty in and go home with the w or change them up?

He said, "playing MJ on FRIDAY morning". Not talking about the THURSDAY morning game against East! Please read more carefully before posting a bunch of inaccurate information that's hard to read and doesn't make much sense.
It was the consolation bracket anyways, so playing MJ as a senior wouldn't have been a bad gesture against Blaine. Bringing him in when he did against Lakeville though, was a very questionable decision at best.
