I didn't want to do this because there is more to it than points but almost double the point totals. A summer camp Dickie? Come on you're better than that.

Hey like I said, I watched him in the Sections. I tried to take in every teams section game just to see what there is for talent around the section..he definitely didn't stand out like that bright yellow you used. WOW!!

As for the point totals...I have to say...SC 97 your better than that. Can you spell CREAMPUFF schedule i.e. inflated totals. Should we go back one more year then and say State Title Game Winning Goal? I can't believe this are you guys trying to campaign him into a D-1 scholarship? Hey, Hillary needs a running mate... ](*,)

The bright yellow was just for team color. Do you really think anyone that has the power to grant a scholarship is on here to see who we argue over?

Dickie, I seriouslu doubt the Lehrke kid will need help getting a D-1 Scholarship, and had you beat me to it i would have been happy with an "Amen to that!" because we are beating a dead horse and i will agree with you on one thing, the thread was who is the best individual, i wasn't trying to twist it at all with my last comment, making other players better requires skill and ability, just like handling the puck, it falls into the rehlm of "all around". But yes we could argue forever over those things, Who's faster, who shoots harder, who's a better passer, and get nowhere. as SC 97 said we each have our own reasons for the player we like. I am mearly saying YOU can sit there and protest that Lehrke isn't even close to the same level that YOU feel Marvin is at. That's it from me!

The small man rule changes have certainly increased the value of these players at the next level. This will play to Lehrke's advantage. I would have to say that Marvin is the most complete/top player in section 8A even if he is from Warroad. I had to laugh at Chump 97's post on leading scorers 05/06. DL piled up 33 goals against Crosby Ironton & Wadena in just 3 games last year. Not to impressed. Another obervation is last years leading scorer, he is completely out of place with the Sioux and should follow Bishop back to the Juniors to develope.

Bad Hair-Do Guy....There you go again making false statements. In looking back I said he hasn't reached that level...yet. I do not see where I said he wasn't even close. If your going to debate...debate. Don't try and play spin doctor.

Now if the debate was "who are some of the top players in Section 8A" then there is no debate...all three are pretty talented along with several other players. But Sioux Recruit wasn't that smart...he went for the whole enchilada and came up with a headache and heartburn. =P~

Hey...for me; it depends on the type of workday I'm having or how much flak the "Boss" is giving me at home or how demented posters are as to which I'm going to be.

If Lehrke is as good as you say he is then why didn’t he make the elite league? Now I know your going to say its all politics, sure. But if he’s as good as you say he is, he’s going to make it, and he didn’t.

Mavin was 3rd in scoring in the whole league

Come on....the guy asked a legit question if he's so good and IF he tried out why didn't he make an elite roster and were not talking elite II. Well??? I thought so. Criminy even the lowly Ravendalen and Hahn made elite rosters. That isn't a slam on the kid it's a slam of his campaign manager. Sioux Recruit you didn't answer my earlier question either what did the Sioux Recruit you for Tiddly-Winks. :P

As for you SC 97; I think we already have.

Wow....ur trying to slam me? or something...and yea that is a slam on him....I couldnt tell u why he didnt make it....i really cant....People are talking about Lehrke and his game everywhere I go...its not even a matter of what teams hes made or whatever hes done...hes 3 yrs younger than Marvin and being compared to him by MANY people and not just his campaign manager haha...and u say he was 3rd in scoring in the whole league...ok??He had 9 goals in high school hockey last year...and its still high school hockey...I just think you guys are hilarious..I wonder if players actually read these....cause if they did im sure they would be laughing at how many people get worked up about all this....but honestly....im going on vacation for week...have fun with whatever you write...its been good...no hard feelings :D

Best in Section 8A

Post by schwang17 »

Being that I've skated with both of the Lehrke boys alot I have to go with Zachy. It's a biased, homer pick of course, though. The kid is a treat to skate with and watch. He is an identical clone to his older brother, both have all the tools, but the knock is their size(which doesn't seem to bother BSU). :D

Also, to the best of my knowledge there is NOT a 3 year difference in age, between Marvin and Lehrke as some on this board have said. I skate with him some Sundays and I'll be sure to ask him to clarify that the next time I play.
