TRF vs. Crookston 2-1-07

Post by Schoolyardpuck »

The Prowlers travel to Crookston to take on the Pirates, last time they faced off in the Ralph it was a 6 - 2 TRF victory? Rumor mill says TRF's Bottem kid will be back for this game, same outcome, better game or worse? What are you your thoughts?

I think Crookston will come out with a victory. they always play tough at home. and there fans are pretty intense. i see crox with the upset.

I think it will be a very good game. Crookston has played well lately and they are at home. I am going with TRF on this one though 3-2.

TRF absolutely dominated the first game in TRF. But, it's always closer in Crookston. And the Pirates have been playing better. A source told me that Bottom will not be ready to go until saturdays game against LOW. Either way I like the Prowlers here.

Crookston's record at home on weeknights in January versus teams other than Warroad, Roseau, and Bemidji has been phenomenal over the years.

Problem is the calendar has flipped to Febrero.

Nevertheless, the home port will be defended at all costs.

WOW!! That was the most boring game i've ever attended. There were like 2 scoring chances the whole game. 6 penalties total, neither team could do anything with the PP. The prowlers would not pass to the points. The refs seemed like they didn't even want to be there, countless missed off-sides and icing. After watching tonight, TRF has about a 2% chance of getting out of this section. Crookston looked much better than they did in the first meeting but TRF looked slow and just flat out tired. The best part of the night was the meal I had at the Shanty before the game. That was the first loss for TRF against Crookston since 1/29/02!!

Even the goal was boring. Uninspired hockey on both sides. Good to see Bottem back in Section 8 if only for a few shifts.

I told you Crookston is a sleeper in this section. Maybe even more than that. Maybe, dare I say it, a FAVORITE?

Watch out for the pirates ...

It's all up for grabs in 8A.

Point taken.

Point mistaken.

Slappy's happy.

Perreault's no fault.

Could they do the shady bunch proud?

after all ... former natives are barking out loud!!

Seems to me the star is a hybrid from the class of '78....

When Norlan and Kathy ...

provided the bait!

Central and Cathedral ... who would have thunk?

That this D-1 prospect ... did a slam dunk!!

I think Crookston is 1 or 2 flashy forwards away from their first trip to State. Perrault needs to get those forwards motivated.
