Suburban East Championship - WBL @ Roseville 2/15
It all comes down to this. The winner gets the ship and a huge boost heading in to playoffs

Actually, Roseville only needs a tie to win the title outright.ae_42 wrote:It all comes down to this. The winner gets the ship and a huge boost heading in to playoffs

Online TV
Thanks for that streaming video information! I'm hoping to get work off to attend the game, but if that doesn't happen, at least I have some other option.

WBL has had trouble at Roseville's home ice the last couple of outings, with that said, the way they appear to be playing right now, I believe they can win this game.
Keys:
1. Johnny will have to continue to play well.
2. 2nd and 3rd lines will have to continue to produce. (Spreading the opportunities around will be huge in this game)
3. Stay out of the box. "I don't think they can afford to take 5 on 3's against Roseville, they move the puck very well on power plays.
4. Continue to play unselfishly.
5. More than 15 shots this time.
However I think it will be a close game either way, Roseville has some dangerous players, which we already know.

It'll be interesting to see how tight the game is called. If it's like the first Roseville-Cretin and last Saturday's WBL-Cretin game, we'll see a lot of penalties, probably some 5 on 3s. The conundrum is that in both of those games the team that was shorthanded on the 5 on 3 situations won the game. I'm hoping that it's reffed like the second Cretin-Roseville game where the refs let the two teams play but WBL does play physical so they'd have to be careful not to let it get out of hand.
I think the key will be White Bear's goalie versus the Roseville offense. As good as the Bears' defense is Roseville should still get better chances than CDH did on Saturday so Vicich will have to come up big. And Hansen will need to avoid the dumb penalties, he doesn't do his team any good while he's in the box. Roseville will need to use their speed and skill to their advantage and avoid getting sucked into a physical game with WBL. They'll also need to take advantage of the power play situations.
I'm guessing that we'll have a physical slogfest with a lot of penalties, Vicich will come up big, regulation will end with a 1-1 tie but Roseville pulls it out in OT, 2-1.

I like your view on things, you could compare Hansen to Dorr with different styles of play. However if Hanson gets double teamed, that leaves us on a vertual 4-3 situation and watch out for Johnson he is a very powerfull, aggresive offensive defenseman. Very dangerous in offensive zone. Wolfgram is playing well as well as Galloway, Puntney. but I really think that WB is deaper than Roseville line for line, I think WB is stronger at D. I think if Johnny plays well it will be really hard to beat WB.ChrisK wrote:It'll be interesting to see how tight the game is called. I think the bottom line is though it will be a golaie battle. Both teams have some outstanding power. However, I agree the refs need to let the game go on with out letting it get carried away. Hopefully your wrong about the penalties on our side anyway.

I thought Andre Peltier on D did an excellent job when Taylor Johnson was out. This should be an excellent game and I hope the referees let them play. The Bears didn't show up until the 2nd period in the first game and almost came back and won.Bearhockey13 wrote:I like your view on things, you could compare Hansen to Dorr with different styles of play.
