is there a best team in the lake?

Post by xcelcenterorbust08 »

with only two games left for all the teams in the lake conference, and 4 teams with chances of winning it, has EP established themselves as "the best" or do you think that either b-ville, eagan or chaska are the best team? also which team in the whole conference would you least like to play in sections?

in 5AA Apple Valley should get the 6 and in 6AA Jefferson should get the 6 seed as a number 3 seed i wouldn't want either of them right away because both have success in playoffs and you may overlook them. They would be the sleepers you wouldn't want but toughness wise i wouldn't want to play EP or B'Ville as of late.

No clear cut "best team" in the lake this year

Wow, what happened to Eastview? A lot of hoopla by the Eastview faithful early in the season. Where are they now?

EP seems to be finding ways to win. They are my favorite in the Lake. We'll see if their goalie has the staying power to do well in the playoffs.

EP is looking pretty sharp. Jefferson picked up its game as well lately so id give them credit too. burnsville seems to be peaking at about the right time, but for some odd reason they seem to fall apart against a certain team with that darn shamrock as their logo every time they play them.

that is gonna be burnsvilles toughest game i think. it could be a make or break for them, along with rosemount as well.

id probably place my bets with EP though

I think that EP is more beatable than what their record shows.

burnsville is the best team in the lake , EP has been good but they did lose to Lakeville North. burnsville also has jake hendrickson who is in my opinion the best player in the lake

If Burnsville was the best team in the Lake then they would be leading the conference wouldn't they? They had 2 chances to beat EP and couldn't get the job done either time.EP is the best team in the Lake this year. Beat Burnsville and Chaska back to back in their rinks with the conference lead on the line. Hendrickson may be the best player in the Lake next year, but this year it's Levine and Vranek. In fact Hendrickson isn't even the best player on his team. Franks logs a ton of ice time and is more important to Burnsville in the playoffs.

My favorite would be Burnsville. I like the way they play..solid top to bottom, been playing very well in second half..goalie is not "Amazing" but very capable.

But E.P. will end up the Best (record wise) I don't see them making a ton of noise at section time though.

Predictions:
EP: 15-4-1 and wins Lake
Will beat Kennedy for sure
Will beat North at home. Their earlier loss to North was a huge upset and in fairness to them they were up early and kind of laid off..and their goalie had a tough night.

Chaska: 13-6-1 2nd place
Will beat North and Eagan

Burns: 13-7 3rd place lake
Will beat Rose. But will fall to a re-born Jeff. squad at BIG
Great second half by Burns.

Eagan 12-6-2
Will beat A.V. and then lose to Chaska

Burns, Chaska and Jeff will be scary teams to face in sections.
E.P. will crumble again

Eagan & Eastview...much better next year.

Lakeville N & S..best chance to state...1AA is soo weak as usual.

so you really think burnsville will beat rosemount AT rosemount? they were in the same situation last year, except it was the game AT burnsville where the fell apart
interesting indeed....although rosemount is missing vath i think for the rest of the season as far as i know. ( whopping 3 maybe 4 games, lol)

I don't think it will be a blowout...prolly a 1 goal win. I like they way B'ville is playing as of late and not a big fan of Rose. tenders.

If Rose could find a stable tending situation they would really be a great team next year.

You need to take your burnsville goggles off. Jake is a talented player. Not tops in the Lake.

Look for Jake to be up there next year as a senior.

rosemounts real problem is not that they dont have good goaltending. its that their goaltending isnt consistent. many times one or the other would have a great game, then follow it up with a mediocre game instead of another good game. they just couldnt get a good flow going for em. oddly enough morgan had 2 good games in a row, lol.
