Should be pretty good competition. I believe Fergus Falls and Detroit Lakes must have a play-in game. Moorhead is the State host and is guaranteed the VFW D9 second seed but has elected to play for the VFW D9 first seed; one less game at state on the path to the championship (Winner and Moorhead both go, if Moorhead wins, then the second place team is the second seed). http://www.vfw.state.mn.us/hockeyrules.pdf

Roseau is the logical choice. My gut said Bemidji, but they have a tough row to hoe with a very hot EGF team in the first round, if they can get by that, Roseau, who also is on fire. This District is wide open though, the teams have proven that all year. Should make a good tournament.

EGF, Did you not see what Roseau did to EGF in the D16 playoff's. Can you even say running time!!! EGF is not hot! Should never have even made the MAHA regionals!
