WCHA 1st Round-Colorado College vs. Michigan Tech
Zamboni Guy forgot the last 1st round series, so I'll throw up a question for it.
5th seeded Colorado College takes on 6th seeded Michigan Tech in Colorado Springs.
Colorado College (17-15-4 overall, 13-12-3 WCHA)
Michigan Tech (16-15-5 overall, 11-12-5 WCHA)
CC took the season series with a 2-1-1 record against Tech.
Both teams are fighting for their tournament lives and desperately need wins against each other as they're both TUC's. I like Tech in 3, their D is tough and they have the edge in experience.
Other thoughts?

Thanks Blue Breeze! I didn't forget about it, I just wasn't sure how interested the users of this "bored" would be about this match-up with two out of the area teams. Should be a decent series though, Michigan Tech is certainly on the up and up but playing this series in Colorado Springs will be tough for the Huskies.
I like the Tigers in three.

I figured there was an explanation behind it. I just didn't wanna leave this series hanging out there, especially since CC has a lot of locals on the club. You did a great job getting setting up the others though and I just followed suit.Zamboni Guy wrote:Thanks Blue Breeze! Hopefully. One of my buddies just got back for Spring Break from Austin, his parents have suite tickets for the Wild which work the Final 5 as well. He's gonna try and talk them into handing them over to us for the weekend, which is likely to happen. So I will most likely be attending, should be a great time!Zamboni Guy wrote:Well, thank you for that...you are obviously a great WCHA Hockey Mind! Will you be making the trip to the X for the Final Five?
I've got to take CC here. This is a critical series for them - they have to know they're going to need to sweep this series and probably win at least 2 in St. Paul to get a NCAA bid.
I believe they'll get the sweep against MTU... They will not win 2 in St. Paul though (in fact, I don't believe they'll win 1 - but we can cover that after this weekend!).
