Anybody able to provide a reason to be optimistic about this one? I'm not aware of any.

Cerveceros sweep.

By the way, in addition to calling the Brewers sweep, I'm also going to go ahead and pick this guy: Image to take 2 out of 3.

Let me give the Magic 8 Ball a little shake here to see what we can look forward to in Milwaukee.

Well, last year the resurgence was aided quite a bit by beating up on National League teams.

The Twins match up better with NL teams because the NL teams dont have a DH either.

So therefore blah, blah, blah.....they'll get thier butts kicked anyway.

"Skepticsim is the beginning of faith" Oscar Wilde.

Of course, he also said "Quotation is a serviceble substitute for wit"

I like his stuff but he was weird.

Anyway, we would be foolish to be optimistic about this team right now. When they score 7 they give up 15 and when they give up 2 they cant score any.

They are in the top 5 in pitching and in number of hits. Yet they are 4 games under .500 and 6 games out of first place.

This could cahnge this weekend but it doesnt look like it.

A few things I live by when the going gets tough.

1. Unity is imperative in the face of adversity.
2. Only you can help yourself.
3. Never compromise who you are to meet the acceptance of others.
4. Write a song parody.

The Twins have done nothing recently for me to be optimistic, but I'll watch anyway.

Hit the Boofin Ball!

They did start out 25-33 last year. Not sure what that has to do with this year. :? But I will slug down a couple whiskey and cokes tonight and keep hoping. :)

Twins win 8-1
Mr. Bonser's line...
IP - 7
Hits - 3
Runs - 1
ER - 1
BB - 1
K - 11
NP - 92, 62 strikes

What the Boof, maybe ChrisK is right; sign another pitcher....

If we go 78-43 the rest of the way, we will be in business.

My how a team looks better when their big free agent signee collects 7 bases and the face of the franchise puts one in play (or shall I say out of play) with three friends aboard.

As far as the pitching goes, Boof did what the starters have been doing most of the year but finally he (they) has (have) a W to validate it.

Torii with some MORE instant offense.

If he keeps this up for three more months and he'll get Carlos Beltran money next year.

I'm thrilled to death with the way Baker threw, but I have a feeling that tomorrow we'll start seeing the "Baker for Cy Young" garbage start.

The guy had a great game, but he's had very good games in the past and hasn't been able to keep it going. Here's hoping the time he's spent in Rochester has taught him about consistency.

I sure am glad Hunter didn't listen to me and bunt.

This game is fun when you win. :) Go Twins.

Good to see the Twins playin ball again. Gotta like that Brewer team though. Lots of good young talent. Does Prince Fielder pound the ball or what? I think he and Hardy will be around for a long time.

Dick Bremer just "calls" Cuddyer's dinger, giving the Twins a 2-0 lead. Heinz flares a couple more across, 4-0 Twins after 2 1/2. Party on Dudes! Image

Ortiz gives up 5 runs in 4 and a Imageturd innings. Its time for Slow-like-Radke.
