Centennial has 2 teams playing this weekend...the top 20 players played aganst Anoka last night...and will then be playing in the Hopkins touney for the rest of the weekend... while the next 20 or so will play the remaining games at SLP.

Anoka led the game last night 2-1 (despite top 4 defensman Manthey and Lesmeister not participating in the game) when several fights occurred and 3 players from each team were ejected, including Belisle (who scored both oif Anoka's goals) & Rush for Anoka and Thompson & Holt for Centennial.

Both these groups of kids reached the Bantam A State tourney in 2005...both have a shot at making it to Excel in 2008.

Haven't been able to make a stop over there but sounds like a good tournament. I noticed Roseville's in it, how are they looking this year? Also, who are the definite standouts?

Roseville is actually not in it anymore. This made up team of college and NHL players were playing in their spot. I wish I could get more info on the team.

The team of college/pros is called the Spring Lake Alumni and they had lost to Anoka this morning giving Anoka the bid into the championship game against Andover at 11:20 tomorrow.
