Minnesota Twins (64-63) @ Baltimore Orioles (58-68) Aug23-26

Post by HShockeywatcher »

Aug 23 - Boof pitched an amazing 7 innings giving up 3 walks, 3 hits, one being a homer run, and only one run. The twins got it going in the 8th with a 4 run inning and another in the 9th to win 5-2.

Game 2
Johan Santana (13-9, 2.88) @ Jeremy Guthrie (7-4, 3.44)

Game 3
Matt Garza (2-4, 3.30) @ Brian Burres (5-5, 5.24)

Game 4
Scott Baker (6-6, 4.50) @ Erik Bedard (13-4, 2.97)

With the Indians playing the Royals we need to at least win the series to have a shot at gaining any ground on the Indians.

updates please, I'm more captivated by Miss Teen USA this evening.

I suspect the Twins are scoreless through at least two spins through the order.

Mr. Shanty--- The twins closed the lead to 4-3, after HR's by Morneau (solo) and Kubul (man on). In the midst of canning Salsa....more later.

Santana keeps his ERA under 3, adds another win and 7 more strikeouts.

Kubel double, Hunter double, Tyner double, Mauer double, Hunter homer, Morneau homer, Kubel homer. This is what real major league teams do at least three times a week and when they do, they score more than one or none.

Which is exactly why both Carmona and Sabathia don't need an ERA as low as Santana's to win games.

Man, these umps must really want the sweep for us. First they call a foul tip on Tyner that really looked like a strikeout and then they call what looked like a fair ball down the 1st base line foul against Baltimore. Works for me. Hopefully they favor KC today too 8)
