Remember #17
Girls Hockey lost a wonderful kid last Saturday night. Kelly Phillips, a Senior at Minnetonka High School, passed away after a car crash on Friday. Kelly wore #17 (her favorite number) for the Skippers and will be greatly missed by many in the community. She left her mark on many many people and was a gracious and caring young woman. God bless Kelly, her family and all of the people she has touched.

My sympathies go out to her family and those who knew her well. Such a tragedy.twowayplay wrote:Girls Hockey lost a wonderful kid last Saturday night. I happened to see the obit in the paper earlier today. I don't normally read this section, but in skimming through I couldn't help but notice her picture. The narrative did mention that she played hockey at Minnetonka; I'm sure her loss is a very difficult loss for her teammates as well.

The Phillips family has been a great supporter of girls hockey in Minnetonka; her father was past girls commissioner and is a great person. I can't imagine a tougher loss than a child. Our thoughts and prayers to the family.
Quite a reality check!
Have you hugged your hockey player today!

The most important thing is the kids enjoy life and Hockey because it is shorter than we know!
