Oct 26-27: St. Cloud State vs. Bemidji State

Post by Zamboni Guy »

This weekend the St. Cloud State University Huskies will be taking a step out of WCHA play after getting swept by the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs last weekend in Duluth, Minnesota. This weekend the Huskies will play host to the Bemidji State University Beavers at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
The St. Cloud State University Huskies opened their season two weeks ago with a win and a tie against Canisius before dropping two straigt on the road in Duluth last weekend. The Huskies now sit at 1-2-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the WCHA as they play host to in-state rival Bemidji State.
The Bemidji State Beavers will be playing away from the John S. Glas Fieldhosue for the first time in the 2007-2008 season as they make the trip to St. Cloud to face off against the Huskies. The Beavers opened their season two weeks ago with a sweep of Army before dropping two straight to Merrimack at home last weekend. The Beavers now enter this weekend at 2-2-0 overall and 0-0-0 in the CHA.

Last Weekend:
St. Cloud State:
- Friday: lost to Minnesota-Duluth 2 to 1
- Saturday: lost to Minnesota-Duluth 4 to 2
Bemidji State:
- Friday: lost to Merrimack 3 to 2
- Saturday: lost to Merrimack 2 to 1

INCH Power Rankings:
St. Cloud State: NR
Bemidji State: NR

Any thoughts or predictions on this non-conference match up between two Minnesota Division I Mens College Hockey teams?

Doesn't look like either team is very good at this point...

This is going to be a battle of two teams searching for what their identity is going to be this season. Playing in the National Hockey Center will help the Huskies, but I still think the Beavers will manage to pull out one game.

I didnt expect Dalton to be starting for Bemidji State... 2-0 real quick and suddenly Serratore has to be thinking it was a big mistake playing the true freshmen...

4-1 after 1... 4 of the 5 goals were powerplay goals and the young net minders are in, Dalton for the Beavs and Dunn for SCSU.
