I will be in attendance tonight, hopefully both teams show up.

PREDICTIONS:

Friday:

Fighting Sioux 4, Gophers 2

Saturday:

Gophers 3, Fighting Sioux 3, tie

This series all depends on the Duncan/Oshie/VandeVelde line and how well they play.

UND takes the 1st game 4-2.
Goph's look like the better team for long stretches, but UND put a fine finish to a wild 3rd period.
Fans got thier money's worth tonight.

That was a great game to watch.
Both teams should be able to build off of this one.
Nodak kinda stole a win there.
Gophs have to rebound from a tough one.
We will see what they got Saturday.
Go Gophs. :)

Oh man did I call it...and what a 3rd Period. I was 5 rows up right behind J.P. 2 of the 3 periods. He played unbelievable. The refs let the teams play for the most part and it turned out to be the best game I've seen in person since I can remember. The best rivalry in hockey folks. I can't wait for game two.

Oh and by the way...the whole game I was yelling for the Sioux to shoot the puck. First two periods, 11 shots - 0 goals. Third period, 19 shots - 4 goals, 5 if you add the one that was whistled dead. Jeff Frazee, Mr. USA or not, is not a good goalie (right now atleast), his rebounds go to next week and he seems like he's always out of position. Kangas will start tomorrow, or somethings wrong.

sticking with my prediction for game 2:

gophs 3
sioux 3

Frazee was stellar in the first and second. In the third, he looked completely lost. (although he wasn't exactly aided much by his defense)

This game is picking up where last nights game left off.
Not much love between these two teams.
