Nah, they just ran into a Bears team with nothing left in the tank after their Friday night game against the Hounds...heh heh.quickgym guy wrote:Jacks are starting to find a groove...
CEC - 4
East - 2

Which, interestingly (or not), was the reverse schedule of past seasons when White Bear would play Cloquet on Friday night and then East on Saturday afternoon.

#27 is Max Tardy. Committed to UMD already.
As to Cloquet's win over WBL...it's impressive, yes, but you have to factor in that 1) Collette, who looked amazing against East, did not start, and 2) that they were coming off an exhausting game the night before. Yes, Cloquet played too, but there's a big difference between an OT thriller against a state power and an easy win against a team that's going nowhere.
Anyways, I predict a much higher-scoring game than what we're used to out of East-Cloquet recently. They haven't been over 3 goals combined in 2 years. The graduations of Ellingson and Leis will bring that streak to a sudden halt. I'll say East 5-3.

Don't make excuses... The Jacks will win this one.

Of course, I don't want to see either team win. Seems like Cloquet is heating up...

I am looking forward to this match-up, even if both teams have started the 07-08 season a bit sluggishly it has been shown in the past that records can get tossed right out the window in this rivalry. Playing in the lumberdome isn't going to be too friendly for the Hounds, but I'm still going to go with....
Duluth East - 4
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton - 3
Hoping I can make the trip down I-35 to catch this one in person.
