By the way, the JV game ended in a brawl. I thought it was a very good hockey game for 2 periods, then, even though it was just 4-2, Marshall lost all discipline. They kept taking bonehead penalties and their coach didn't do anything about it. DM could have gotten back in this game, but chose not to. I'm not a BSM fan, just a hockey fan.

[quote You were there a little late then. First BSM PP goal was on a rough in front of the DM goalie. Any two of DM or BSM players could, have been, called. Nothing or matchings, should have. Second BSM PP goal comes on an interf. call "pick" that forced a BSM player skate between the net and a DM player. This can be called at least a dozen times a game. DM scores one shorty and its not surprising with all the penalty kills. No doubt, BSM has a top team, but the sep. in score was dictated by the calls. BSM players obviously were running their mouths in the third and I'm sure along with the DM players. Refs did a poor job of calming this. DM players leave the ice after the game with students in the way and others hanging over the railing having to run their mouth. DM cheap. Thats your opinion. Same can be said for BSM.[/quote]
I guess I missed this but the fact remains--in my impartial opinion--the Duluth team completely lost its composure and started taking frustration penalties because they were getting worked. One of their coaches was having a fit every time a penalty was called and just about all of the calls I saw on both sides were legitimate penalties. The Toppers got beat by a better team and from what I saw, the refs can't be blamed for their loss.
