"SSM will not be recruiting at this event." Phrase struck me as kinda odd. Email probably would have been better off without it.

Does anyone know if that is the same weekend as the later NDP tryouts? If so, very unfortunate.

I had heard the following dates:

PI - 3/24-3-3/31
PII - 4/11-4/13 Plymouth
PIII-4/18-4/20 Plymouth

I don't know if Shattuck can move this event or is aware of the conflict if these are the NDP tryout dates.

I would think Shattuck would be up to date on NDP tryouts that weekend considering some of their girls would most likely be involved in it. Does Shattuck ussally have a decent turnout for things like this?

I understand that there is a new process this year for NDP. I had a conversation with someone who was telling me that a coach's nomination for consideration is new this year. Can anyone give me some insight on how exactly getting involved in the NDP program works/specifically U15

Thanks

Yes we were aware of the conflict, unfortunately it was the only weekend that worked:

4/2, 3, 4, 5, 6 USA Hockey National Tournament
4/11, 12, 13 Pinnacle Girls Hockey Showcase
4/18, 19, 20 Midwest Xposure Hockey Tournament

And the following weekend starts the college recruiting “dead period”, which means colleges aren’t allowed to go on the road and recruit, nor talk to a player. That runs through May.

While this weekend does interfere with ‘92’s and ‘91’s it doesn’t interfere with ‘93’s and ‘90’s. Starting this year there is no Advanced 18’s, so Pinnacle is a great opportunity for Juniors with a ’90 birthyear, since there’s no longer anything for them with USA Hockey.

We’ve heard back from many of the WCHA and east coast coaches as well as D-III teams. They are very interested in scouting the talent at Pinnacle. Based on the initial response we are expecting a huge scouting turnout.

At the SSM Girls Hockey Tournment this past fall over 30 college coaches and scouts were in attendance.

The Pinnacle rosters and ice schedules are posted at:

http://www.s-sm.org/also/summer/hockey.asp

Select the links on the lower right-hand side for details. Most of the SSM U19 and U16 girls will be playing. Should be some great competition for the college coaches and scouts to watch. Good Luck to everyone!!!

There would be no conflict with NDP because there are only MN players. 11 are ineligible, the rest didn't make the NDP cut so they wont be doing it.
