The reason they are not ranked is probably due to having a slightly easier schedule their first 28 games. Of those 28 games they have played 21 games against unranked teams. For comparison, Edina has played 30 games with 19 against ranked teams or solid teams that couldn't be ranked from Shattuck, Wi. Fire & Madison.
In my opinion, Burnsville deserves to be ranked and should be ranked somewhere between 13-16. According to their website they are 22-4-2 including scrimmages. Their record against ranked teams is 4-3 and includes victories over #14 Jefferson (twice), #20 Minnetonka and #9 Bemidji in a scrimmage. Rankings are guessing games until the end of the year and I think you will see them show up by the end especially if they do as well as they get into the tougher part of their schedule.
