If Century played like they played tonight, they very easily could win, but I'm not going to put too much money on that. Century's depth, however, is starting to build. Some great things happened for the Martini and VanOosten lines tonight.

Well the match-up is earlier than anticipated this year. For some reason they were not to meet until January 15th this year - which is not the norm.

Century's younger kids are getting better w/ all the playing time they are getting. Ordahl and Olafson played a ton last night - how will that impact their legs? Will Mayo come ready to play tonight? Both teams take silly penalties - so who will take more tonight?

I assume Mayo will play Yaggy tonight since they have been rotating the goalies so far, so look for a low scoring game.
Century does a nice job of blocking shots and making desperation plays in their own end....they also clear the puck off the glass instead of trying to make clean breakout passes, which means Mayo has to have some puck possession in the offensive end and do something when they have odd-man rushes. If Mayo comes to work and plays tight in their own end, they should have the edge because they have more skill up front at this point of the year.

Mayo 3 Century 1 - with an empty-netter.

Both Games last night were very good both teams were even, although century's last goal was a gift from apple valley. Can't wait for tonights game, and i'm going to go with century in a shootout 2-2 (4-3)

Goalie battle, stupid penalties on both teams, lots of odd man rushes against Mayo, but Yaggy holds Mayo in it for the win.

Rochester hasn't produced much in while. Not sure either one of these teams will be any different.

Apparently ALSECORD was on vacation last year when Century placed 3rd in the state tourney and actually gave Roseau a game unlike GR!

Was thinking that too. Methinks he should talk to some H-M and Burnsville fans about this...

A LOT of stupid penalties sounds like every game Century has played thus far.
