TECH - 5
APOLLO - 2

Apollo has a few nice players which haven't shown much in this tournament so far.

Techs victory over SCC showed the true colors, and hopefully can bring the same intensity and game as last night.

There is no way Hampton will give up eight goals.

Tech - 7
Apollo - 0

Final Score

Great game by tech, with Alex Coulter scoring 5 of tech's 7 goals. Hampton made some nice saves, but was pretty weak. Apollos "prodigys" didn't seem to produce much tonight. Tech's freshmen goaltender Al Patten played a great game with 22 saves.

Apollo will win what next time?

It won't be a win against Tech, unless they get A LOT better in a short amount of time. Their first line matches up against Tech's first line okay, but it's all downhill after that, except for goal. Hampton will play better, but Tech has more all around talent and plays physically tougher than Apollo.

Perhaps the score will be closer. The result will be the same.

The only way Apollo would get even close to beating Tech this year, is if Hampton plays completely on his head, and Tech plays like they did in the beginning of the year.

First off Apollo in no way is a better team then Tech. Apollo has better goaltending then tech that is your only argument for Apollo being better. I will also agree with you that they did not play well against Tech in the championship game. As far as them winning the next match up I really don't think it will happen.

For Apollo to win Hampton will have to stand on his head and make 50+ saves. (Which could very well happen) Dougherty will have to control his zoo of defensemen and some how keep them out of the box. In the GCC alone his defense took 15 penalties. you can't win games pking that much just because of your defense. Finally that first line for Apollo is going to have to be clicking(which also is very possible).

Good luck to Apollo, I would really like to see them pull it off. I just don't think it's going to happen though.
I'm going to say Tech 4-1. Closer game then the championship but still a fairly handling win for the Tigers.

The defense of Apollo lacks depth without Butkowski, Gau or Mrozek sitting in the box. When each take multiple penalties a game Apollo finds itself in a huge hole that is often too deep to dig out of.

I would take Tech over Apollo anyday. Apollo just doesn't have what it takes to compete against a solid team.

Don't get too over-confident, then bad things can happen.
