STA is the clear cut number 1 in Class A right now. STA 4-2.
Ben Dover plays BOTH ways.

They are clearly a good team, but they have yet to play any of the top teams in Class A; Marshall, Int. Falls, Warroad, West, Cathedral or Denfeld. Marshall, on the other hand, has beaten a Breck team St Thomas lost too, lost to Minnetonka by only a goal, beat Hibbing, Hermantown and a top Wisconsin team (apparently #2).

I saw St Thomas dominate in the Schwan Cup, but I have yet to venture over the Mars for a game. After I watch this one on myFOXhockey.com Cloquet, Cretin, Denfeld and Cathedral are definitely on my to-do list.

Head to head:
04-05
2005 Marshall 3-1 in 3rd place game
05-06
2006 St Thomas 4-3 in State Final
06-07
2006 4-4 Tie
2007 Marshall 3-2 in OT in State Semi's

Marshall leads mini-rivalry 2-1-1.

Should be a good one. Good luck to both teams.

Shameless plug here but tune in and find out

For those of you up north in Duluth area if there is no local radio coverage we will have this one on MSBN (mnsportsnetwork.com) if you wanna tune in and find out what the outcome will be.

Should be a good one with STA coming off a tough loss to Hill. No predictions from me as two good teams and could go either way. But I think who plays best on PK & PP will come out on top!

I have the Cadets by three. Very good hockey club, and these boys have done a fantastic job proving they are still a great team after losing Crandall, Lee, and Schroeder

Is there a decent team in either class south of Duluth this year?
