Who are the key players to watch tonight from the Fergus? And could this be a game that LF takes for granted? Or will they be at their high end and keep going strong?

They will be coming hungry with a come from behind (OT) tie with Sartell last Tuesday who have been making a move in section 6A.

It has to be Cody Peck hands down,
Let’s take,

Makes me wonder if the rink rats over at Cleveland can do a better job than the FF team.

Little Falls is playing pretty well.
Comparable games favor LF.

LF has 'Tony'.

I take Little Falls by 4.

LF v. FF

Post by cleansheet01 »

This game won't be a walkthrough for the Flyers. Fergus has averaged 7 goals in their past 4 games. Cody Peck is the best player FF has had since Ryan Miller and he can do it all, score, hit, and most importantly set up his teamates for scoring opportunities. It is critical that FF stays out of the box. Peck, Lucas Gervais, and Torin Gaffke, all good players, have a tendency of spending a few minutes in the box.

Gaffke has been on a tear lately as well including a hat trick against DL and also got 2 against Sartell.

I really hope coach Donahough goes w/ sophomore Jason Lofquist between the pipes as Sr. Chris Hadland is EXTREMELY inconsistent and w/ him being so small and a butterfly goalie on top of it he leaves the top half of the net very vulnerable.

Prediction:
FF-6
LF-5
OT

Fergus Falls v Little Falls

Post by defense »

It depends on what Fergus team shows up. They could have been looking ahead too much for this game on Tuesday where they made a good game out of it( thats not a plus).......Fergus' problems this year start with the goaltending, he has work to do. Cody Peck is the strong Fergus player with some good linemates. Torin Gaffke having a strong year as well and not too shabby defensemen. I don't believe Little Falls will look over Fergus and it will likely be a few years before they do, while Fergus was on it's state tournement run they ended Little Falls' season almost every year and Little Falls just started beating Fergus a few years ago....
It will be closer than most think, don't be surprised if Fergus jumps out fast, just as long as they hang on, otherwise Little Falls will get a pretty decent win.

Ya, and check this out:
Little Falls 7
Fergus Falls 4
end of second period, 1 Fergus Falls goal called off at end of period, Little Falls has 2 short handed goals, two times they scored under a minute and maybe under 30 seconds apart. Fergus Falls Lucas Gervais has 4 goals. Of course there are all kinds of Hanowskis scoreing on the Flyers side.

Lucas Gervais, only a soph. playing out of his mind tonight for the Otters.

Chris Hadland, like stated previously, very inconsistent, has let down FF tonight. Granted, the D ain't helping matters at all.

What the Otters have to do in the 3rd is LOCK UP ON THE FACEOFFS!!! It's ridiculous that LF has been able to score once, much less multiple times in under 15 secs after faceoffs.

Final

Post by defense »

Little Falls 7
Fergus Falls 4 Final from Little Falls

You are not going to beat the Flyers when you give up so many quick goals, and short handed goals. Twice also, Fergus Falls scored, Little Falls gets it right back and then some as they score shortly after.....game was 4-3 in second period, but the above tells it, two quick ones by the Flyers..

Honestly this was one of the worst officiated hockey games I have seen in quite some time. But it happens everyone has a bad game now and then.

The Flyers looked average in the first period but stepped their game up in the second and third.

I just caught the end of the JV game why does Fergus pull their goalie in the middle of the period seemed kind of odd to me. :?:

Middle of a period is when you really need to pull your goalie

Why not????
having a bad game, what a better way to get the guys going, unorthodox yes, not unheard of, I've seen it for the whole 3rd period.
